A little help on a Kimber selection please....

The price def. seems a bit high for a "used" Kimber CDP Pro. Personally I'd buy the new one. I bought a new one for $999 after a price match at Gander Mountain. Remember the old one might have an external extractor - the new ones do not. It's personal preference really. I like the...

    1911 question

Is it really more expensive? How much more just out of curiosity? Oh well I meant it in jest anyways... You probably know what caliber I think 1911s should be chambered in by my login name :D

    1911 question

Ammo would be cheaper  You'd have to tell us what this is for. Defensive use? Competitive shooting? By IPSC/USPSA rules it still meets the minimum power factor to be considered as a major charge. Didn't Rob Leatham use it at one point in IPSC? But for defensive purposes... :(

    Can i own a gun ?

Well - not legally maybe but... I'm sure they could say you looked suspicious :scrutiny: It'd be hard to prove if it did happen. But again - you'll be fine. Enjoy your new rifle, and be sure to share some pics or a range report once you have! :)

    Can i own a gun ?

I believe a dealer can deny you a gun if they wish. Just as any other store could deny you service (for anything: race, religion, sex, you look funny, etc.). I believe anyways - I could be wrong. That said... if they deny you a firearms purchase because you are Egyptian - they are...

What has happened to The High Road?

I have noticed this a little myself. Not that we can all be "high road" all the time, as everyone will have their disagreements and opinions. That said... Ding ding! It is not the mod’s responsibility to keep this forum "high road", but OUR responsibility as the community.

    First .22?

I love Browning Buckmarks personally. There's another .22 post right now I suggest you go read. Here's a link to my post about the Buckmark I recently bought: http://thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=4059068#post4059068 I highly recommend the Buckmark!

    .22 Auto Recommendations

I have a Browning Buckmark Plus Rosewood UDX which I recently bought (on the advice of many THR members, and also because it "fit" me the best as far as handling, etc.). It is a pleasure to shoot. I love it! I highly recommend them. The Plus Rosewood UDX is a bit more expensive than some of...

    Best 1911

Soldier0117, For your requirements, and in your price range, might I suggest the exact one you fired! A Springfield Armory Mil-Spec in stainless. It's a very nice gun, and the price should leave you with some room to have some fun (tritium sights anyways)...

    Cleaning out checkered grips

Hello everyone! :) I have a seemingly easy question. Is there a good way to clean gunk out of checkered grips (wood)? There is a lot of gunk in the valleys of the checkering primarily where my fingers of my right hand wrap around the grip to the left side of the gun. I assume it skin cells...

    iShot Range Bags

I'm looking for a new range bag, and I have read a lot about the iShot bags, but their company website doesn't have any listed except the small version. Does anyone know if they still sell items like the Pro/Modular bags? Thanks!

    Sleepwalking unloading of Glock

Well if you’re going to go that far… you might as well put an invisible fence around your bed, and put on a shock collar before you fall asleep. Keep the gun outside the fence. :D P.S. - If you wake up in the middle of the night with an urgent need to use the restroom, this solution might...

    Sleepwalking unloading of Glock

I don't sleep walk, but just out of curiosity... Would it even matter if the gun was in a keypad safe next to the bed? I'd imagine if you can sleepwalk while unloading and decocking a Glock, you'd be just as able to press 4 buttons on a safe, and then proceed to do the same.

    Odd Phone Call Today

So it ended "well" (at least as far as not being robbed). However, perhaps you should be feeling a little too complacent… Getting that kind of treatment, as innocuous as it may seem superficially, just for purchasing a few things online? Give me a break. :barf: Perhaps I should hurry and...
