Help Shut down the Movie "Redacted"

Ok, looks like a lot of people here have been drinking the same Cool Aid, so lets just cover all of them together... That is a repugnant statement. We have the most well behaved military in history. Did some do bad things? Unfortunatly, yes. However, it is movies like this and statements...

Help Shut down the Movie "Redacted"

:banghead: Ok, all together: IT DOES NOT! If the government shelved it, it would. If I call/write/email asking it be shelved, then I am expressing MY 1st Amendment rights. EVERYBODY has the right to express themselves, not just film makers. The only one quelling anything here, is you trying...

Help Shut down the Movie "Redacted"

How does speaking out agains something you find offensive contribute to quelling the 1st Amendment????? So for those that asked, here is the gun connection: The 1st Amendment is an idividual right (just like the 2nd); it does not just apply to certain groups (such as film makers). Ok...

Help Shut down the Movie "Redacted"

This movie is just another Leftist attack on the military and the U.S. Bill O'Reilly is asking everybody who attends Mavs games (home or road) to bring "support the troops" signs. As usual, too many people think we have to sit there and take it because freedom of speech would be lost if a...

Newbie Help - Breakdown for Colt 1911 .45 ACP

YouTube to the rescue! I had the same question a week or two ago, and found these three very helpful videos: 1911 Disassembly 1911 Re-Assembly Part 1 1911 Re-Assembly Part 2

HI Point Firearms what does anyone know about these

My cousin had a Hi-Point (we now look back on it and call it a the "Low-Point") C-9 COMP about 5 years ago. It would fail to feed, stove pipe, and jamb constantly. He sent it back to be fixed (free of charge less shipping) and had the same problem. He sent it back again (again, free of charge...

    1911 instruction book/DVD

Thanks! That link does help, but I still want to go a little bit more into detail. I'm just the kind of person that if I want to upgrade a part (for example, put in an extended mag release button), I'd hate to pay $30 per 1/2 hour (what the gunsmith charges) when I'm sure it is easy to do myself...

    1911 instruction book/DVD

I would like to get an instructional book or DVD on how to take apart, re-assemble, and do basic repairs on a 1911. I'm not a gunsmith, and don't pretend to be one. I have a basic set of tools and a dremel, but no machine shop in the garage. All I'd like to do is take it apart a little...

    bolt jeweling

I would like to have a few gun parts jeweled (rilfe bolt, my 1911 FLGR, pistol barrel). Does anybody know of any good shops for this? I found this place online, and it looks good. Has anybody worked with them? http://www.customjewelshop.com/pistola.html Thanks for the help!

    CZ quality?

They are the best gun company out there today! I use a SP-01 as my target gun, a 40-P as my carry gun, a 453 and 75-Kadet as my plinkers, and a 550 for my hunting gun. Besides my Benelli and muzzleloader, I won't buy from any other company.

    My wife is a teacher...

Wow! :what: tell me where you are so I can move there! I get two months during the summer (we go until the end of June and start in September), get a week over Christmas, 3 days for Easter, and two days for Thanksgiving. Somehow, that does not add up to 1/2 a year. Not to mention that over that...

    cobra arms derringer any good?

In a word: "crap" I had one, and the trigger took two hands to squeeze. To make matters worse, after 5 shots the trigger just fell out. I sent it back and the trigger was manageable in terms of weight, but would still fall out at times. I ended up selling it to a gun shop as an "as is" project.

Senator's nephew, Marine, killed...protestors show up at funeral

These freaks are from the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas. Several states (including Kansas) have passed laws saying that they must remain at least 300 feet away from any funeral. The House passed H.R. 5037, the "Respect for America's Fallen Heroes Act" by a 408-3 vote (21...

How to tell if you are a gun geek:

Or... you have bought a gun, ammo for it, every aftermarket accessory ever created for it, and then sold it for a different gun before you even shot it. Have sat in a boring college class and wondered "if I hit the lottery and was able to start my own firearms company, what guns would I...

    gun re-finishers in PA

Anybody know of a firearm refinisher in South Eastern Pennsylvania or Southern New Jersey? I'd like to have two pistols hard chromed; but my local dealer charges me an arm and a leg for shipping and receiving to have it sent out to Ford's.

    Baby Eagle .45 grips

When I go to the MRI and Hogue web pages, they say that the grips are for the full size only, not the .45. Maybe I am missing it, could you send me a link?

    Baby Eagle .45 grips

Anybody know of a source for after-market Baby Eagle .45 grips? How about a place that clones grips without the frame (don't want to spend more than the price of the grips to have my local dealer ship and receive it for me).
