I agree about the wood not holding up in harsh climates. That's why I applied three coats of Spar Urethane to the stock and forend (Per Lee Lapin's suggestion) since this picture was taken.

I decided to take off my Knoxx SpecOps stock and Surefire forend from my Marine Magnum and replace it with walnut furniture. Here's the before: And here's the current setup:

Big +1 on the SpecOps stock. Took mine out a few weeks ago for the first time in a while and was reminded how comfortable it makes shooting slugs.

I have a stainless guide rod assembly and heavier (20#) spring in my G33 because I feel that the stock assembly is under-sprung at 17# for the 357SIG cartridge.

The finger grooves on my compact (G23) didn't fit me very well either so, my solution was to give it to my wife and buy a full size model (G31) to replace it.

That's almost too beautiful looking to shoot. Congrats on a nice pistol.
