I do not believe a barrel can be threaded for remchokes but they can be threaded to accept other readily available chokes. Any competent gunsmith can cut the barrel and thread it to accept chokes. It should be cheaper than a new barrel and that old 30" will be more versatile.

I agree. The Kobra was made for the Ak and works great. If you want all black furniture (or green) it is readily available and inexpensive. There are also aftermarket rails that allow you to use a standard red dot if you really want to go that way.
