What are some good "Sleeper" Semiautos?

FNP-9 is the best sleeper Over 1000 rounds and still going strong. Easy to carry, easy to clean. If more people buy them, more third-party manufacturers will offer more accessories like holsters, mag pouches, etc.

Heller Decided! (several threads merged, new ones will be locked)

...it doesnt address licensing, registration, etc. looks like all that is still in place, depending on the states' laws.... Heller can register his firearm, and can get a license to keep it in his home for defense. Doesn't say anything about a license to carry it to Wal-Mart....

Gunman at church, what would you do?

I'm one of those on stage during our services. Not the Pastor, but one of the staff. There are 15-16 of us who carry every service every Sunday. And we also have greeters stationed at every door. We have security guards who walk the church (unarmed) so we are it in the event of an armed...

All you GUN toting Christians...Chime in here

In a recent conversation with a follower of Christ (I also am Christian), the topic of lethal force in self-defense came up. The question was asked about God's provision in protecting us in a violent situation. I replied that, in a voilent situation, I was perfectly willing and capable of...

Another JC Higgins Question My father has given my a JC Higgins model 33 pump action .22 rifle, the first gun I ever shot- way back in the early '70s. I hoped someone could help date this rifle based on its serial #, or someone could turn me in the right direction to find that information...

Great "First Time" for youth - sad discussion at the end.

In my hometown in rural West Tennessee back in the late '70s and early '80s, it was common for students to carry shotguns and rifles in ther cars and trucks for an early morning or after-school hunt. A couple of buddies and I would sometimes meet in the woods during squirrel season, hunt on...

    Gun-Mounted Laser as Deterrent

Friends- Has anyone compiled stories of real-life situations where painting a bad guy with a gun-mounted laser served as a deterrent and firing the weapon was not necessary? I am getting a set of CT grips for my wife's S&W 642, and she is curious to know.... Shootemup

    FNP9 vs Browning HP9

I have carried my FNP-9 for about six months. I have 600-700 rounds at the range with no FTF-FTE. It is very comfortable in my hands, and more accurate than I am. Not too crazy about the sights, but it just may be my vision. Ameriglo has aftermarket sights that I am considering. It is...
