    House Panel clears National Carry

Bubba, you're right. Reid has been OK on guns, but the Senate is at the point where you need 60 votes to avoid a filibuster and there's no way the Dems will pass this. It will never get out of the Senate.

Chicago Moves Quickly to Replace Previous Ban Ordinance

Mayor Daley is the best friend gun rights supporters ever had. He is a Stupid megalomaniac. These will go to trial, and they will lose. Watch out for Bloomberg, on the other hand, he is not stupid. Beware, they know they won't win everything, but by setting the bar so high, if they get...

NRA may endorse Harry Reid..... Sellout #... I am loosing track

One thing to consider. Reid has been mostly pro-gun throughout his career. If he is defeated, the NEXT Senate majority leader would probably be Chuck Schumer of New York, or Dick Durbin of Illinois. Better the evil you know...

CHP Holders exempt from VA 1-a-month law?

Yes, that is true. Still need to go through the background check, but permit holders are exempt from the one gun a month law. Virginia code 18.2-308.2:2 exempts holders.

Virginia Gun laws....as good as they sound?

Generally, very good. Still have the stupid 1 gun a month rule (but trying to get that changed). Also, no CC in restaurants/bars, but you CAN open carry there. LEO's are usually very good, with open carry or CCW, but some localities drive a stake in the ground about it. Luckily, we have a...

    UCMJ and Form 4473

I did 20 years in the USAF. It was always my understanding that if the "possible" sentence was in excess of 1 year, that constitutes a felony conviction. The actual sentence applied wouldn't change that. Absolutely, though, consult an attorney familiar with the UCMJ.

Man sentenced after arsenal found in Bellevue storage locker

C4 is difficult to detonate. Blasting caps, however, are very easy to detonate. In the Air Force we stored them in separate storage buildings.

Girl With a Big Gun Videos

Why anyone would find it humorous when someone gets hurt handling a firearm is beyond me. We all pride ourselves on our responsible knowledge of guns, yet people think it's funny when a novice is injured. Grow up.

    Question for Virginia members

I believe it is quite legal in Virginia. However, a quick call to the State Police or Attorney General's office would clear it up for you. Gene

Had my guns taken away in nj

Get a good lawyer. Go to the police with the lawyer. Tell them they took your property even though you were not accused of any crime. Ask for a receipt for your property. Document everything, especially if they refuse. You need documentation of what they took. Without it, said property may...

My CCW permit finally arrived! Now I have two questions for you.

According to state law, you have no duty to inform in Virginia. It's up to each individual whether you would do so.
