    6.8 SPC questions

I'm pretty floored by this. I shot a ~200lb Axis deer at 125 yds and he dropped DRT. Didn't even take a step. I also shot a smaller whitetail at the same spot. She ran for about 30yds and dropped over. Both were single shot kills with a 6.8 120grn Hornady Custom.

I am apparently the owner of an assault rifle

You guys need new batteries in your sarcasm meters.

    Drop in bump fire trigger

The guns themselves are outrageously expensive. The $200 NFA stamp is barely on the radar as an expense given the cost of either a drop in sear ($4000-$8000, and you run the risks of non-registered fakes) or a full rifle...in the range SAM1911 mentioned.

    USM4 ATF Approved Full Auto

I took a look at these...but the reviews aren't all that great from Shot Show. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...e-tac-con-3mr/ http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2...-auto-trigger/

    Drop in bump fire trigger

Seems like it's getting mixed reviews at this year's Shot Show. http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/01/14/perspective-tac-con-3mr/ http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2014/01/13/impressions-tac-con-3mr-full-auto-trigger/

    Suppressor Maintenance?

I own an AAC Ti-Rant suppressor and bought it because it could be taken apart to be cleaned. I've put probably 300-400 rounds through it thus far, and have yet to actually clean it. What is the general consensus of how/when/what products to use in the cleaning of these items? Also...

Finally got it in! AAC Ti-Rant .45

Mike, That is exactly the process that I and my dealer followed for this AAC. I got it in just under 6 months. Dealer had it in stock, and away we went.

Finally got it in! AAC Ti-Rant .45

Which one was it? The shop I bought mine at even had the Sakers in stock and on display.

    One year?? What happened?

Finally got it in! AAC Ti-Rant .45

Put it on the HK this weekend and put about 100 rounds through it. Excellent performance, even when dry and with a little water it's even better! 6 month wait time was worth it.

Has anyone seen 6.8 ammo recently?

I haven't seen a box since this whole mess started. I could use a case of Hornady SST 120grn if they came around.

    Glocks and suppressor

+1 on Storm Lake. For my HK, I had Jarvis make me a match barrel and love it. No more expensive than any other brand.

    "NFA Trust"

That's Sean Cody...the guy who did mine. +1 on his services.

    "NFA Trust"

Mike, Talk to Sean Cody out of Houston. He's great and did mine. It's a lot easier than you might think, and Sean does the little things that go a long way. (Like attaching a dollar to activate the trust.)

    UPS lost my gun!

This is why I (and many manufacturers) use FedEx. UPS seems to have these issues more often than any other carrier. Good luck with tracking this down; I hope you get it back...it's often not about the money at this point.

    First 1911 - DW CCO?

My first 1911 was a 2010 production DW CBOB....I haven't looked back since. In fact, I almost hate carrying my HK or Glock because of how comfortable I am with the DW. Most days the fact that I don't care about wear, sweat, scratches etc on the Glock overrides the pull of the DW. All in all...

    No one else would understand...

Thanks...I figure only the folks here would 'get' it. For those that care...this is Texas, on a trust, original purchase date of 30 Aug, with Pending Approval status starting on 17 Sept. It'll be right at 6 months by the time I pick it up.

    No one else would understand...

...I called the NFA Branch of the ATF today and found out that my Ti-Rant 45 suppressor has been approved on Feb 15! I think the next 10 business day wait will be worse than the 6 months previous!! I'm stoked!

Interesting CHL Requal...can anyone help me reattach my front sight?

I tell ya, some of these people who are getting CHLs here I wouldn't trust with a fork, let alone a loaded firearm. Even without a front sight, I didn't miss the 5 point ring (rings 7, 8, 9 and X in a standard B27 silhouette target) once....and that's not because I'm a stellar shoort.

Interesting CHL Requal...can anyone help me reattach my front sight?

That would be great if I could figure out where to buy just the pin. I don't want to spend $125 on a new front sight. Any thoughts?
