there is a local PA forum where a guy is offering a S&W 1911 model 108284 SS 1911 for $750. says its 90-95% cosmetic with only about 200 rds thru it. he is original owner and bought it 2.5 yrs ago. he live 90 min from me and i dont have wheels to see it. does $750 seem like a fair price...

i've read of numerous folk here saying that mixing HP and FMJ in a mag would greatly increase chances of a FTF. i don't understand why that would be. sure....the bullets may be slightly different in length....but the pistol has no memory. it doesn't know that there is a mix in there. in fact...
