    Couple of knife questions

I believe the classic KaBar Fixed blade knives are still made in the USA. It says they are on the KaBar web site.

Where are you buying AR15 mags?

I've got some Brownell's magazines in transit to me now. They are a bit more expensive than some other GI spec magazines, but are highly regarded.

    Smith & Wesson's Spring Rebate

Got my M&P free mags within 3 weeks at the beginning of the year. Smith will get them to you, it just may take time.

    brass catchers

Anyone have experience with the brass catchers that attach to an AR15 type rifle? Do the cases tend to bounce back into the action and cause jams? I hate to pelt shooters in adjacent lanes with my brass. I am going to order a brass catcher from Brownells.

trouble with improved battlesite zero (AR15)

got it worked out! being an AR 15 newby and mechanically inept, did not realize that the elevation index wheel and the elevation knob were capable of rotating independantly when the screw is loosened. The "bottom part" of the elevation wheel is what needed to be rotated after the screw was...

trouble with improved battlesite zero (AR15)

just tried it again... wheel wont turn when screw is backed out, with or without wrench in place. on the bright side, the wheel still bottoms out at 6/3, so I guess I haven't screwed anything up. Very confused:confused:

trouble with improved battlesite zero (AR15)

That's my problem... the wheel wont turn if I leave the wrench in place. The hole for the screw appears to extend into the wheel, so the hole for the screw rotates away when I turn the wheel. Hope that makes sense.

trouble with improved battlesite zero (AR15)

anyone know anything about LCol Santos improved battlesight zero for the AR 15? I tried the 25 meter zero for my M4 and I can't hit anything at 100 yards. I tried to follow the directions for the IBZ for my Bushmaster M4. It says to loosen the Allen screw on top of the carry handle three...

    Bushmaster M4 25 yard zero

Thanks, it wasn't clear to me what the notation meant. So, when the sight is is it's lowest most position, it should be bottomed out on 6/3, which means zeroed for 300 meters, and one full rotation is zero for 600 meters? On my Bushmaster M4, two clicks from bottom 6/3 there is a Z on the...

    Bushmaster M4 25 yard zero

I'm gonna take it out for the second shooting session tomorrow. Just wanted to double check if I have it set up correctly for a 25 meter zero. I've got the detachable carry handle. Windage: Set the knob so the sight matches up with the mark in the middle. Elevation: Turn elevation knob all...

    AR15 and scratched ammo

I've wondered about this too. I'm new to the AR 15 world; just took my Bushmaster M4 out for it's 1st shootiing session. Chambered bullets that were ejected without firing had slight but noticable scratches. I think this is normal.

can't get the bolt back in mini 14

Never had to do that. Why design a gun that is an absolute horror to disassemble? I guess we have the M1 (or M14) to blame for the Mini 14 design.

can't get the bolt back in mini 14

got it back together Thanks to everyone who replied to my query. I appreciate your help. My significant other, who likes guns as much as...Sarah Brady... got the bolt back in the gun after I showed her what I was trying to do. Now I know it is possible to get the bolt back in the gun!!! :)...

can't get the bolt back in mini 14

I'm gonna go shoot it tomorrow if can get it back together. How do you get the bolt back in? I guess I got it out by luck. According to the instructions, you hold it at a 45 degree angle (from the top of the receiver, I assume) and "wiggle" it in place. It appears that the...

    Mini-14 Mags

It seem to be true that finding a functioning aftermarket Mini 14 magazine is a matter of luck. Only the factory mags are anywhere near being a sure thing reliability wise. I just bought 2 more factory 20 rounders, for a total of 6. Wonder why the aftermarket can't make a consistantly...

Need a "truck gun"...is the Sigma that bad?

Yes the Sigma has a stout trigger pull. It is also reliable, high capacity, light, corrosion resistant and backed by the best customer service and lifetime warantee in the industry. I've got a Glock, a Sig, and a couple of HK's. I like my Sigma too. I keep the Sigma locked in a Center of...

    HK P2000 SK....anyone?

I have a DA/SA .40 P2000SK that I chose for my carry gun. Ergos are 1st rate- I'm a lefty and I like the ambidextrous slide stop and mag release. The decocking button on the left side of the rear of the slide works for the left hand too, but requries an adjusment to my grip. It has been 100%...

    My new FNP-9 rocks!

I've been interested in this pistol after seeing them advertised. I would assume good build quality from FN, as they make most of the millitary M-16s. It seems that it has a lot of desirable features, and the price is certainly right. I wonder if they are going to sell a lot of them, get major...
