Kit consists of bore guide, patches, metal bristles, cotton guide (attaches to bore). Gun I'm cleaning is a Rem Single Bolt700 and Rem 12GA Pump Shotgun. I tried cleaning and got a green residue on the patches, what could that be. I got this residue when i cleaned with hoppes 9.

SDC, I totally agree with you in that I am suppose to care for my stuff and all that. But, when you sign off on a gun safety sheet explainig that the salesman explained all the safety rules and then gives you wrong ammo, somehtings wrong.
