Can anyone I.D. this Browning shotgun?

Last question. Is there any reasonably priced ammunition that can be safely used in this gun? I'm a little slow on the uptake, so specific brands and such would be appreciated. After cleaning it up, I'd love to take it to the range and try it out. Thanks again for all the great info. I love...

Can anyone I.D. this Browning shotgun?

Once again, a wealth of info here in the shotgun forum. It never ceases to amaze me how well versed you guys are when it comes to these firearms. Right now, I have a 1975 Winchester 1400 that I use for my occasional trap shooting. I'm not that good at it, but the 1400 fits me well, and a...

Can anyone I.D. this Browning shotgun?

The serial number makes it a 1952. Is this one that you shouldn't use steel shot? Based on what I've read, I don't think it has any real collector value. I'm itching to work on the stock scratches and refinish the wood. Any ideas on it's value? Thanks for the I.D. help. Tim

Can anyone I.D. this Browning shotgun?

I recently took possession of this shotgun. It's a Browning over under, but has no visible model number or name. It has a 5 digit serial number, containing only numbers, no hyphens or letters. Here are some pictures: Thanks for any help you guys...

    WooHoo....Broke the 20 barrier tonight...

Well, as long as were bragging....LOL. I shot my first round of trap ever recently, and put up a 20. I was pretty proud, even if it was beginners luck....hahahaha. Tim

    Choke compatability question.

I have a new to me Winchester model 1400 Mk2 semiauto. It's in great shape. I bought it to try my hand at trap/skeet shooting. It's always looked like fun, but I never wanted to invest in a gun to try it out, until I found this 1400. Anyhow, it came with what looks like a stainless steel...

    Hawes .357 value?

I've been wanting a cowboy action revolver for a while, but haven't wanted to pony up the $400 for every used Ruger I see. This type of revolver would just be a once in a while plinker at the range for me, so I don't want to break the bank. I found locally a Hawes single action cowboy type...

Shot my first round of skeet today!!

Which is the easiest for a beginner: skeet, trap, or sporting clays? I just bought a shotgun to try my hand at it. Tim

Winchester 1400 Mk2 price check please.

Hi, I have a chance to buy a Win 1400 Mk2 shotgun. The pics I've seen show it to be in good to very good condition. Asking price is $200 face to face, so no tax is involved, just $200 bucks out the door. My goal is to buy an entry level semi to see if I like trap/skeet. I'll never hunt...

Let Us See Your 10/22 Photos

This is just a run of the mill Wal*Mart special that I picked up about a month ago. I stripped the paint off of the receiver and trigger group, cleaned up the aluminum metal underneath, and the finished it off with a brushed look to match the barrel. It was a fair amount of work, but it turned...

    Need .22 Scope

I just bought a Mueller APV for a Ruger 10/22, and had it out for the first time today. The adjustable objective on mine is kind of stiff, and uneven when turned. I bought the silver one for $124. This little rifle will just be a fun bench shooter, so the less than smooth focusing of the AO...

    M1 Garand loading problem

I only have two things to say about the above posts. First, I had a buddy that bought some Korean .30-06 ammo for a Garand, and it turned out to be corrosive. Check the stamp on the cartridge, and do an online search. Second, go to your next "fun show" and pick up about 5 or 10 real USGI...

    I got an interview...

"It's at the Georgetown facility... do they have any other facilities(I honestly don't know)?" Learn everything that you can about the company. How many plants/factories they have, who's the CEO, what were their earnings, are they publicly traded, how large is their work force? By...

    $265 a good price for a S&W model 65?

Thanks for the replies. What I meant by average condition is that it was a duty gun for many years, so it has the usual wear and tear that a "working gun" ends up with. Things like small scratches, and holster marks. Tim

    $265 a good price for a S&W model 65?

As the title asks, is this a good price for a stainless S&W model 65, 4 inch barrel, in average condition? Thanks, Tim

Good cop, bad cop-a range story

'...came onto the pistol range claiming we were doing everything but making moonshine and tearing tags off of mattresses.' Dale, That is quite possibly the funniest thing that I've ever read on an internet message board. Tim

Not so good for a light mount!

My plan for my 870 18in. is to get one of the new MagLite LED 2AA battery lights, and put a pressure switch replacement on the end of it. I then plan on getting one of the replacement clamps that has the three holes, and using this to secure the barrel, magazine, and front part of flashlight...

    M&P compact 9mm

I like the full sized M&P, but was hoping that the compact would truely be a compact, and not a subcompact like the G26. I wish that they would have made it more along the lines of the G19 as far as size goes. With that said, the M&P is a great feeling gun in my hand. I'm sure that I'm...

    Trap/ Skeet Etiquette?

Well, this thread has certainly been an eye opener. I've been shooting for about 15 years, all of it pistols. This year, for some reason, I got a wild hair, and bought my first long gun, a small caliber rifle(.17HMR) for plinking. Yesterday, I picked up my first shotgun, a Remington 870...
