Got a job in NYC... CT/westchester county questions

Obviously, you're not a bad guy! I was born and raised in NYC. I live in Houston, TX now. But, from what I remember (which isn't too long ago), you could buy an AK or an AR for about $900 ON THE STREET! Anything you need? Got the dough? No problem! Money talks! Basically, you might...

    Bow effectiveness for Home Defence

Personally, worse comes to worse and I had access to no other weapon? I'd rather grab a standard, old, police nightstick! Rodney King style. Or an asp or a blackjack. You can't go wrong unless your attacker is armed.

What is the best combat handgun in use today?

If the sh-- REALLY hit the fan and I had only 2 small, hand-held weapons to chose from, I'd have my CZ-75B and my K-Bar. That's it.

Nightstand Gun - Keep in Holster?

I've got a 1 year old son, so our night stand gun, an XD 40, is kept with the chamber empty and in it's own Springfield holster. BTW, that Springfield holster sucks! But, it's perfect for this job. Before we had a kid, I kept a 642 under the bed....sans holster.

Tell me about local Houston Tx gunshops

I have to agree with Phantomak47: I was once in either Vermont, Maine, or was it New Hampshire. But I was with my ex-gf at the time and we were driving into this little town during the winter. We saw an old mom and pop gun store. Man, that place was jumping! Crowds and crowds of people...

    Baseball bats anyone?

Jesus!!! I would hate to get into a road rage incident with either Barry Bonds, Alex Rodriguez, nor Jason Giambi. They are most certainly lethal weapons with a bat in their hands. One wrong move on my part and my head is going to end up in upper deck!

    Baseball bats anyone?

More info The more ingenious types would drill two holes at the base of the aluminum pipe and, basically, turn it into an "aluminum night stick" that the police USED to carry in NYC. They would usually add a leather strap to it. That way, if you wrap it around your hand correctly, you would...

    Baseball bats anyone?

Damn, hill billies! When I grew up in Brooklyn, NY, the weapon of choice was a hollowed out aluminum pipe with electrical tape on one end for the grip. That pipe was at most 2 feet long. It was MUCH lighter than a baseball bat and easy to wield. We used to carry these weapons in our cars...
