I'm in the same boat. I just bought a Henry 001 and frankly its a great little gun. You really don't see many complaints about FTF or FTE for the Henry's product. So far, my Henry was well worth it.
My dealer does not stock Marlins 39a and I couldn't find a used one. I'd too would like...
Thinking of buying a new 39A but worried about the quality. Looked for a used one but I can't find a used one in my area at all --- totally nothing. I can order a new one though easily. The price difference isn't that much. Seems like nobody every trades them in.
Should go ahead and get...
Has anyone bought a new 39A. I'm really wondering how they worked out, as good as the old ones. Cerebus usually just buys companys tags them together and sells them off. so i m wondering about the quality of the new rifles. Thinking of getting a new one this week. Tx.
I just bought the Henry H001 and love it. Shoots fine and just like the gun. I opted out of the golden boy though as I plan on also getting the Marlin 39A. The Henry is plenty for me and I am happy with it. Nicely made for me. But I think I'll just add the 39A a little later.
I have the P99C and P990 DAO. Both are terrific. I prefer the DAO. I shoot revolvers and I like the long pull and weight on the trigger. Though the P99C is the AS and it does feel much nicer to shoot, the DAO is pretty darn accurate at 7 yards. I would recommend either one.
Actually I've shot frequently in my backyard with a .22 LR Savage Boltaction using an iron catch as a backstop against several large oak trees. I've never had problem except one time I shot a .22 magnum and it made too much noise. So I went to .22 shorts w/o a problem. I think its OK to shot...
I live in NJ and have very large back yard where I can shoot small squirrels and rabbits. I'm planning on buying one of the above for this purpose. I like both rifles very much.
I need a rifle that is quieter b/c I don't want to disturb neighbors around me. The Marlin has a longer...
39A to Buy
Anybody know the best price for a new 39A. my local dealer in NJ quoted 569 for new and a walmart in maryland quoted 500 with a three month delivery time. I can buy online and ship to NJ if the price is good. Thanks
thinking of getting one these. Looked at the Henry 22 and the action was terrific so smooth. The Marlin 22 39A looked better built, stronger but handled bulkier and the action on the lever was not as good as Henry. Anybody have one of these and can recommend ordiscuss.
I have two of them One is a P-99AS in 9MM and P990 in DAO. Both are terrific. the compact (P99AS) shots great and has so many features like DA and SA using a buttom on the side. The p-990 is wonderful. If I could carry (live in New Jersey) that's the gun I would pack. Its as reliable as...
Yeah! everytime I shot my 629 at the range people are thunderstruck by the sound and fury and magnitude of that blast. That is my favorite gun and was my first one. Its really something to marvel at. The fabulous forty four. I think everything else is just about mundane when it comes to...
i have a p-990 DAO walther and that thing is incredibly accurate. I mean its like shooting a revolver where you really have to do all the things rights like trigger action, sight picture, and breath control. I am accurate with that thing as much as with my p99c - as. I like DOA as something...
S & W. My warranties included in the purchase were with S & W. Though made by Walther they are serviced by S & W. Just a note - mine were made in Germany and you can tell by looking for the "N" on the frame. Google "Walther" and you'll get an excellent website run by a Dr. Lund. It has...
Forgot - Walther has a decocker indicator that you can feel and see. If the indicator is out you are in double action mode. If the indicator, which is red, is in you're in single action mode.
i'm lefty and the decocker is a little awkard but doable. I reach of with my right thumb and decock or otherwise point the pistol "Ghetto style" with the decocker facing up and decock. Got a p99dao and p99AS. these guns are amazingly accurate even the dao is accurate. I would carry the dao...
