I just received a new, in the factory box. 3" Python. I was surprised that there was no test fired case in the package. No biggie but I thought all new Colt's were test fired and shipped with the test case. Did they change doing this?
Follow up............ I finally tested both Tula primers, the "std and the 556 M". 223 and 556 mixed head stamp cases, 27.0 grs of W748, 55gr FMJ pulled bullets. Nice sunny day temps in the 60's. No chrono. All went well and everything went BANG. No noticeable difference at all.
A few years ago I bought a couple of thousand 223 "pulldown" bullets. Too long ago to remember where I got them. Today I decided to test a new load. Did all of the brass prep, priming etc. and all looked good. Checked the brass in the Lyman case gauge and all was fine. Loaded the bullets...
I am lucky enough to receive 2 cases of small rifle primers, both Tula. One case is SRMag and the other is SR. Please look at the note with the primers. It claims to use the SR with extruded powder only and not "full "loads". these will be used for AR 55 abd 62 gr loads
Does this seem correct?
I have the Kimber Ultra CDP II, bought it new a few years ago. Very happy with it. I don't carry it or shoot it every day but when I do it has never failed me nor has had any issues.
I have a new Springfield Garrison. They come from the factory with nice "thin" wood grips. I would like to put a set of stag or antlers on it but cannot find the "thin" ones. Any leads when to look at them and purchase?
