Been in a grip making mood.

Impressive work for sure. What are the grips in the 3rd picture made of?

Identity and Date of Manufacture of S&W Revolvers

I'm sorry but I can't find that series (AVZ) in any of my books. Last time I had that happen is with a gun I bought, a M640, because it was part of a special run. I sent an email to S&W and that's what they told me and they gave me a shipping date too. Sorry I can't give you more information.

Xtp hollow point vs. Xtp flat point consistency differences in .357 magnum

I'm not sure why and if you are getting gas leakage around your primer but I find it hard to believe it's the charge weight. I have personally load many hundreds of 158gr XTP bullets over 16.7gr W296/H110 without a problem. Is it possible for you to post a few pictures of what you are seeing...

Xtp hollow point vs. Xtp flat point consistency differences in .357 magnum

I really don't see a big difference between both bullets. There are too many other variants to guess why the SD/ES numbers are different. Of course case space is one of them but exact powder charge and more are also involved. The data you quoted from Hornady is quite different than the data...

    303 British Loads

OK, I have a British Enfield in 303 British. I have several loads but I'm looking into use up a few pounds of powder I don't use for anything right now, BL-C(2). I loading a Hornady 174gr bullet and I would like to know if anyone uses that powder/bullet combination in the 303? Normally I would...

Does anyone else have a hard time priming 45 colt?

I have heard several complaints recently about the RCBS "Universal" priming tool not being completely universal. I use an older handheld RCBS primer and have no problems. Sometimes I have to go a little slower with some cartridges (like the 45 Colt) but I'm usually fine with the older hand...

Does Lyman M Die require lubing?

Like some above I don't lube any expander either. Keeping the inside of the die very clean and shined up will.probably prevent any future problems.

    Sig P210 target accurate handloads

I'm just going to.add my "voice" to using RMR 9mm bullets for your target ammo. If the RMR 124gr Matchwinner bullets are good enough for Eley, they are good enough for me. (I have bought 2k already)

    Sears brass

Sears did sell guns and ammo years ago just like Kmart did. I heard stories of my grandfather buying a rifle from the Seats Catalog and it being sent right to him house in rural PA. (rural at the time lol) I do remember seeing ammo in the Sears stores but I am over Social Security age lol. I'm...

38-Special 158 grain Hornady XTP and Everglades SWC question.

When I do load a plated bullet (rarely) I use data for cast bullets. It works well for me in my guns.

    .357 powder.

IMO and only my opinion: While I really like W296/H110 is a great full.power powder in the .357 but it has a small load range. 2400 and AA#9 will work well for you and have a better loading range. For medium rounds I really like HS-6 but AA#7, Power Pistol or W572 will also serve you well. If I...

    .223 Bullet Sales

That is a very good price from Graf's. It the lowest price I've seen in a very long time. If I didn't already have way too many .224" bullets I would.jump on that in a second.

    What would happen if I…

Like said above, since the bullets are hard you might get some leading. Believe it or not, more leading is caused by bullets which are too hard than too soft. Also like said above, if the bullets fit well in your barrel you will be fine. Again like said above, load up 12 and see how they work...

Disposal of scrap live wad cutters

It would he better if the OP made that clear if that's really why he wants to dispose of them.

    .22LR ammo

You didn't specify what the ammo.will be used for. Hunting? Target work? Inexpensive plinking??? There are MANY good choices out there. Some are very expensive and some, not so much. CCI Pistol Match, Target Mini-Mags and Green Tag which are accurate offerings but will cost a bit. I prefer...

Disposal of scrap live wad cutters

I'm also thinking a kinetic puller will do the job but you didn't say how many rounds need to be pulled. One question, why can't they be shot?

    List of 30 Carbine Powders

If you want to play the powder name games fine. If you want to show everyone how much you think you know, fine again. We all know that WC-820 is the none canister version of H110 but they are the same. As for W296 being rebranded W295, no sir, it is not. W295 was discontinued and replaced but...

Best SD ammo for .38 Snubby

Old Dog, I'm guessing you know very well what I'm saying. I'm not talking about the constructive comments, I'm talking about the stuff people read on the net, take it as gospel and then regurgitate back at you.

Best SD ammo for .38 Snubby

Man, I'm so tired of echo chamber answers on forums. There are no hard rules in the shooting world. What is good for one is not always good for another. Every shooter is different and so is every gun. Find something you can shoot very well and can control in your revolution er and run with it...

    List of 30 Carbine Powders

H110 (W296) was the original 30 Carbine powder and was used throughout WWII. Of course there is nothing wrong with it but since we now have 8 or more powders suitable for that cartridge it's possible another powder will do a better job in certain rifles. Also, with the thin supply of powders...
