I owned both a Remington 7mm and a Winchester 7mm STW. I prefered the Winchester as the gun was a 26'' and weighed only 7lbs which was fantastic to shoot. Like the posts above mention though, Good luck finding one. I could easily go with a Remington 798.

Under appreciated . I would have to say the 7mm STW. This round took years to be recognized and Winchester dumped this for the more popular WSM series. I understand some of the pros and cons of this caliber , but over all it is one of the best rounds I have yet to shoot.

Reloading definitely pays for itself within a short amount of time. The initial cost of setup is an investment but well worth every dime. I enjoyed using the Rock Chucker by RCBS. I would definitely recommend that kit. ;)
