Leaving a gun in the car

Cold isn't a major problem for ammunition. Heat and moisture are and Nashville will give you both of those. You might consider rotating right before the really hot weather starts and again in the fall.

    Sig or beretta?

I'd choose the SIG Pro in 40 over the Beretta 96. I think the ergonomics favor the SIG, and the polymer SIG is probably a better value. The SIG Pro remains about the best value in the SIG lineup, actually. I've heard the same thing about the Beretta 96's durability issues, but I'll freely...

Who has a Sig P226? Get in here

I've had a 9mm P226R since 2008. It had a couple stove pipe jams in the first hundred rounds. I used it in a defensive pistol course a while back. It was a rainy day and plenty of mud and dirt got into the gun. While it had a couple hang ups under those conditions so did everyone else's gun...

Failure to Feed on Sig p239

I had similar issues with my 9mm Sig P239 when it was new. It really did need a few more rounds through it and it's been fine since.

Seeking Perspective from Beretta and Sig Saur Owners

I have a SIG P239 and P226, both in 9mm. The P239 is not particularly small or light compared to more modern designs but it gives up absolutely nothing in terms of accuracy, recoil or reliability on its big brother. If you can carry a PX4 Storm Subcompact then I think you can probably handle...

    Sig 2022

The SP2022 won a substantial law enforcement contract overseas that also ate up a lot of available production. It's possible they don't make as high a profit off of it, either, especially given that it would compete with the P229 and P226 for law enforcement sales. It's too bad, really, as...

Just got my first SIG SAUER!!!

Horsemen your SIG is in excellent shape. Finish wear like yours is perfectly normal for a SIG (I have 3 and they don't look this good). It'll take a lot worse than that to damage a gun this tough.

What gun would you give Bond?

I think a modern agent for the SIS wouldn't carry a gun when working under non-official cover. For a British subject to be armed in any venue screams "government agent." That said, given Bond's military background I suspect he'd likely pick a P226 (L105A1 in UK service). The P226 would be...

    Sig Sauer Reviews C&C

I have the SIG P239 in 9mm. It's every bit as accurate and controllable for me as the full sized P226. It is heavy for its size, so invest in a strong belt.

SIG SP2022 vs. SIG P239 for concealed carry.

I've got the P239 and P226 (slightly bigger than SP2022). The P239 works a lot better for IWB carry. If you're going to carry OWB you can probably get away with the SP2022, though. It's only real advantages over the P239 would have to be capacity and possibly a slightly faster reload due to...

Sig P6 - slide doesn't always lock back

I had this issue with a SIG P226 crop up after a class once. I had cleaned the magazines, but reassembled them with the magazine spring upside down. In that configuration the follower was not pushed up high enough to reliably engage in the slide stop. I'm not sure if this is possible with...

    Suggestions for first IWB holster?

You will absolutely want to invest in a solid belt. Something made specifically for carrying a gun. If you like the supertuck you may also like the Comp Tac Minotaur. I've purchased from Comp Tac in the past and they are great to deal with - the website and customer service are totally...

    Trade a P239 for a P229?

Doogledog, If the P239 doesn't fit your hand well it's not going to be fun to shoot. There are plenty of people out there who would love to have yours, so you might as well set it free and get something you'll like better :)

    Sig Sauer P239 Carriers...Chime In

I've used the Bianchi 100 with mine. The sweat guard is a huge selling point for me. It's also nice to just clip the holster in without having to adjust your belt. It will migrate on you, however, so it's not 100% secure. Still, it will conceal a lot better than anything nylon or generic.

    Sig 239 vs lc9

I don't have both, but the 239 weighs a heck of a lot more than the LC9. For a point of reference my P239 shoots as well as the full sized P226. I don't notice any difference in recoil or accuracy. While the P239 is sleek and compact in size it weighs close to what most full sized pistols do...

    Sig P239 vs S&W 3913

Sig for me. It's still in production. But I got the 239 mainly because I was already used to the 226 and the controls are laid out the same . . . .

P239 Hold open last round fail

I'm not sure it's an issue, but check to make sure the magazine springs are installed right side up. This was for the P226, but I had the slide fail to lock back after putting my mag spring in upside down. The follower didn't come all the way to the top. It should be easy to check . . . .
