I just bought my first reloader setup and can't find small rifle primers anywhere. It's kind of hard looking at all this brass and not being able to do anything with it. Anyone in NC have any sources?
I've always been interested in reloading, but never got into it. UPS dropped off my Lee Classic Reloader today for .223. I'm going to start small scale of course, using the brass I shoot at the range. I'm getting a reloading manual before I even start. My question is, what would be some other...
For $135, I bought my buddies Remington 11-87 Special Purpose with a 23" rifled barrel and 3-9 Simmons scope and a 26" regular barrel, also came with a hard case. Sold the package for $700. Built an Ar-15 with $500 of that. Then traded the rifle for a mint 1995 Ford Bronco with 90,000 miles on it.
Ha. Yea tell me about it. I only shot 1 box though. And tried out my new .22lr conversion kit at the 50 yard lane. It's not as fun, but at least I get to shoot for a whole lot cheaper.
Well I do, for one. But this isn't bad at all for $5.00 a box. It was my best group. My last (and worst) group was probably a little less than twice as big. Also shot 2 Remington 55 grain FMJs that i had rollin around in my ammo can, just to see what I could group with some halfway decent ammo...
I used Krylon Ultraflat Camouflage spray paint. Holds up real well, especially with a clear coat. My clear coat isn't as shiny as the pics make it seem. Ive seen people do their whole rifles with this paint, and it turns out great.
Wanted something a little different. Tan base with brown effects. Used a laundry bag for the pattern. Not completely satisfied with it, as I didn't take my time. I'll probably re paint it here shortly.

It will lose velocity as it travels downrange, so his answer is wrong automatically. I'm sure there is some equation that you can factor in weight of the bullet, FPS, and distance. But i have no clue, I suck at math.
Well I started to trim out my parkerized GI with stainless. I love the look so far. It's not all cosmetic, though. With the new barrel bushing, it shoots better and feels tighter. The extended mag release is nice too, with the wider hogue grip. Next up, is a stainless mag well. I have it along...
I have the 10-40x tactical Illuminated reticle on my AR. I like it so far. One of the adjustment knobs came loose, and it took a small allen wrench to put it back on. Other than that, great power, and holds true.
