What's your favorite powder for 30-06?

Usually IMR-4350 or H4350. Going to give Big Game a try as it’s readily available and cheap.

Has anyone disassembled the bolt on a CF2 for cleaning? And if so, was it complicated or reasonably straightforward?

    Berger data

I don’t shoot many Berger bullets, but just bought some 55gr .224 and was wondering if someone had load data from the Berger manual they could give me. It’s for the 22-250. Thanks

    Hornady Head Space Comparater

Wouldn’t you be taking the actual dimensions when measuring the cases fired from the rifle using the comparator?

    Hornady Head Space Comparater

Would one be advantageous when loading for a rear locking bolt action? I have read cases do stretch more. The action in question is Carl Gustav 3000 (Sauer 80)

Loaded up some 52 & 53 Hornady with W748. Also some 40gr Nosler Var HPFB just to see what happens. Don't have any TAC, so will try Varget and Benchmark. Ordered some 69gr SMK. Should be interesting!

H322 looks to be a good powder for the 50-55gr. Might try it with the 52 & 53 Hornady.

    .223 Rem

Thanks for the responses. I have some 40gr BT and V-Max, so will give them a try. Will pick up some 69gr and try them as well. I plan on using it for gophers and also punching paper.

Working on load development for my Mossberg MVP (1-9") and wondering if it would be better to try 40-50gr bullets, or 60-69gr?

    RCBS Chargemaster Combo users

I use mine with the shield open. Sure makes the drudgery of powder weighing alot more pleasant. I will never go back to manual balance beam again!

Base model dies vs Micrometer dies and the like.

I am shooting a bolt-action and cases will only be used in the one rifle. I just wish Lee made collet dies in my caliber (.257Wby) :(

Base model dies vs Micrometer dies and the like.

I am thinking of going with the Redding S dies. Is it better to use the neck sizing or FL version? I am currently using standard Redding FL dies.

    B&C Carbelite stock

Just picked one up to replace the crappy plastic one on my Vanguard. Would it need to be bedded? Has anyone used these stocks and are they any good?
