My 'New' SxS is hard to close.

I just took it apart, and apart from a little piece of red plastic under the left ejector, there were no crud in it at all. I wiped it down with break-free anyway though, and gave it a fair amount of lube. There don't appear to be any improvement in its stiffness, but now that you have shared...

My 'New' SxS is hard to close.

No, I just checked. I am fairly sure that the problem is caused by the ejectors, as I have no trouble opening and closing the gun when I havent fired it, and no shells have been ejected.

My 'New' SxS is hard to close.

I recently brought a SxS shotgun, a BRNO 'Special Poldi' 12ga from 1963, and though the finish is worn and the wood is scratched, it locks up tight and seems to me to be in good mechanical condition overall, execpt one little detail; The ejectors make the gun very hard to close when both barrels...

Choosing my first shotgun: I need a devil's advocate.

Hi there! I have just recieved my long wanted hunters license, and thus I am finally allowed to own shotguns, yay! At first I thought that I wanted an SxS for estetic reasons, but now that Ive been shooting a few diffrent rental guns at the clay range Ive decided to go with an O/U instead...

    Remington 700 vs. Ruger 77

Ive wanted a boltgun for the longest time now, and this winter it finally seems like I will be able to afford it, so I took the liberty of checking out the market, and after thorough speculations I am now copletely torn between two seemingly excellent guns :( I will be using this gun almost...

    Which would you pick?

In not a big fan of pistol caliber carbines, but given your option I would probably go for a 4" GP100 and a .357 magnum lever action carbine, as this setup gives me the ability to reach out and hit targets at a decent range, offers a good amount of stopping power, allows for easy reloading of...

Your pick for a single stack 9mm that is NOT a 1911 design

SIG P210 any day of the week. Those are really great guns.

So it was a joke? Damn! Those garlic shells sure would have been great for self defence during the vampire season.

.357 SIG in an STI Trojan 5.0?

Recently, the local rulers have decided to allow the .357 SIG for civillian ownership, and as I was contemplating my next gun purchase anyway, I am now seriously considering to get a gun in this caliber. However, as this caliber is new and unproven here, no one is willing to actually import guns...

    Are CZ's really that amazing

Stay away from CZ guns! They are horribly addictive, and by getting one you have doomed yourself to buy many more in the future! No, seriously, the triggers can be rough and the front sights have a tendency to fall off on the older models, but other than that the CZs are solid, well made and...

Logic on not keeping a gun within arms reach at bedside

I do all sorts of things in my sleep, and I have no doubt that a loaded gun on the nightstand would be a bad idea for me. I might keep one in a drawer near the bed though, as the effort needed to retrieve the gun would certainly wake me up, much like I usually wake up while searching the fridge...

Non-1911 SAO guns: Safe for condition 1 carry?

I know that the 1911 has a grip safety that makes sure that the gun very safe to carry with the hammer down and a round chambered, but I am curious as to how much guns without such a safety can be trusted? If you were to carry a CZ 75 SAO gun like my own 75 Shadow or a 75b SA, would you feel...

    Non-USA members

I am a danish gun nut, though I am less proud of my heiritage for each day that passes. Denmark, as well as the rest of europe, is digging its own grave through series of unfortunate political decisions that undermine our economy, our rights as individuals and our national safety, and I for one...

    Longest You've Gone without Shooting?

About six months. The local range are used for police training during normal work hours, and we civilian shooters are allowed to shoot there an hour or so after the police are done. However, according to danish law, it is illegal to discharge firearms after sunset, so I can only practice during...

38/357 question (possible can of worms)

Load the last chamber with a hot .357 mag. If four .38 rounds fail to solve your problem, the risk of damaging your hearing may just be the least of your problems.

Deactivated Guns For Sale to Brits...Sad

    Why Stay

I live Northern Europe, I am 24 years old, and I would love to become an american if I could! Here in Denmark firearms ownership is basically looked down upon, and carrying concealed weapons legally is an impossible dream. The left wing probaganda that we are fed throughout our early life...
