    Handloading Horror Tales?

I've been reloading since 1965, no accidents. But I remember reading, I think it was in the Rifleman or Handloader, a fellow was reloading and he stored his large volume of powder, and all the primers he owned close together, a primer ignited and touched off all the primers and all the powder...

    Shotshell Reloading Press Options

About 17 years ago, I bought a Sizemaster and loaded 7,000 shells with it. Then it sat in my garage for the rest of the time (12 years) and I cleaned it up last month and I am going at it again. I called MEC and was inquiring about a progressive press of theirs. He told frankly that the...

How many times can you reload one brass?

Fred Huntington of RCBS did a test comparing partial sizing against full length sizing. I can't remember how many more loads he was able to get before the case showed fatigue from partial sizing but is was something like 60 reloads. Sometimes the die and the rifle chamber all have an effect on...

    9mm 124gr Hornady XTP

How does this sound from Ramshot Powder Co. Silhouette pistol powder is specifically formulated to match the NATO standard 9mm round, and will perform equally well in both .40 S & W and .45 Auto. Silhouette is a clean-burning, high-velocity powder with very low muzzle flash.

    Switching powder measures ?

Has anybody who has an RCBS 2000 press tried using a Hornady powder measure with this press? It seems the RCBS has the best priming system (APS) and the Hornady powder measure is pretty slick with their popout powder meters. Neither company can answer this question. Thanks in advance.

Need help on selecting a chronograph

I've finally considered one, I talked to the people at PACT and asked for an instruction manual for the model I was considering. The problem with Chrony is you're shooting above the unit itself and if you shoot low for some reason, you've just shot your unit. With PACT, you would destroy a $5...

    Hornady LNL owners-Happy still?

I don't see how the Hornady LNL would be a wrong or regretable descisison, all things considered. And it is cheaper than the Dillon and RCBS. Thanks everyone for the help.

    Hornady LNL owners-Happy still?

I guess I could flip a coin and be happy with either one.I've got the video on the XL650 so I can see just how it works,if I buy it. The Hornady is cheaper, and I look at reloading like MonkeyMan does, except I've got 10 more years of doing this than he does. BTW, how did you get your name of...

    Leupold vs. Swarovski/Zeiss scopes?

I used to buy only Leupolds, and they are good. But when I looked through a Zeiss Conquest 3x9,my mind was made up to buy this brand and forget Leupold. I've had the scope for two years and really like it. I want to buy more of them in different powers. Running out of money quickly.

    Hornady LNL owners-Happy still?

Hornady LNL owners-still happy? I'm wanting to buy a progressive press for handgun and rifle. The Dillon looks pretty good except the powder measure setup looks like it could have been made simpler. Loaders are buying a complete powder measure for calibers so it must be time consuming. The...

More bolts falling off of Remington 700's

Unless mfg methods have changed,Remington used to use copper berillium washers to weld the bolt handle to the bolt body. This was the strongest way to attach them at the time. I have no idea if they still use this method or not, but I know they made many rifles with bolt handles attached this way...
