I've got an 1894S in .45 Colt :D
I love that thing. It shoots inxpensive hard cast bullets beautifully. I'm looking to complete it with some tang sights. I had some Skinner ladder sights on it but it didn't go low enough for 100y shooting - eyes pretty much need them for past 50y.
Late to the party...
Here's my 39, first year of production (err... 1939) with a no-prefix S/N.
It wears correct Lyman No 1a tang sights and a matching globe front of the same vintage. The best part is that I was living in New Haven (partly) at the time that I bought it and actually...
Remington 124 gr JHP's on top of 4.6 gr of Unique go 1090 fps out of my Glock 26.
The factory Gold Dot ammo supposedly does about 1150 fps. The pic is from this Sunday, in the cold. I dunno, add a grain or two extra... :)

I'd stick w/ the weapon with which you are familiar...
...AND proficient.
Really though, just keep your wits about you and prevent the bubbles from floating off the top of your head as you enjoy nature's splendor. From what I understand, many wise folks up in Canada think a rimfire pistol is...
What has worked for me...
If you are a righty, squeeze tightly w/ the left hand and almost none at all (initially) with the trigger hand. Let the trigger hand only worry about the trigger finger. This helps prevent sympathetic squeeze of your whole right hand when you pull the trigger which may...
Andrew Lukban is a noob here...
Hello to all.
This is a great web site. It looks like there are lot of intelligent and fun posts here. Thanks for letting me sign in :)
I like this thread
This is my first post on THR so... "HELLO WORLD" :)
My and my older brother find the idea of "the bag of evil" very entertaining and practical. No bag is "evil", of course, this is just in jest and a term I like from here:
