According to FBI statistics, the mentally ill are 10X more likely to be VICTIMS of violence then to perpetrate violence. Since when do we deprive people of their rights because of what someone thinks they "might" do? The best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. The second best...
TECHNICALLY, they have a case. The guy shouldn't have been sold the ammo while using that stolen credit card. Is the gun store responsible for the guy's actions with the ammo. Absolutely NO. However, a dirty trial lawyer will make it seem so. I hope the gun store can get top shelf legal...
don't use a rod. Instead, use a boresnake or (preferably) use a patchworm. They don't harm the metal AT ALL. Let the chemical do all the work. That's what it's for.
The NRA is the best we've got. For the cost of one average rifle or handgun you can be a life member.
I'm a lifer and proud of it.
Gun owners need a collective voice and the NRA (and the GOA just to round things out) IS THAT voice.
So, (in Clint Eastwood's voice) "go ahead, make my day...

In addition to contacting my congress people, I even contacted a liberal writer for the "coalition to stop gun violence" and had some constructive email dialog with him about a piece he wrote some months back where he implied that people with mental illness are somehow more violent than the...
Thanks for all your input everyone.
I lubed the bolt carrier and the bolt real good with Militec-1 and I shot 70 rounds today completely flawless. My Bushy is THE most accurate rifle I've ever shot. I can hit a 12" target at 50 yards consistently without really trying to aim all that...
I'm not sure how to know if the key is staked correctly. It is very tightly attached and the two nuts are both in the same orientation. It seems pretty solid to me.
I use the BFI mags made by Bushmaster - the ones that come with the rifle. I'm going to lube it up good and test it some more today. I'll post the results.
I had left it stored with Breakfree CLP on the bolt carrier's exterior for about six months before shooting it today. I think Breakfree CLP is not that great of a lube since upon inspection of my bolt carrier, just now, it's pretty dry.
So, I have now lubed the bolt carrier's exterior with...
I have a Bushmaster XM-15 (BCWA3F) that I've shot on four separate occasions in the past using only .223 Federal 50gr. JHP from the Walmart 200-round value packs. Before today, I had a total of 219 flawless rounds through it.
Well, TODAY, I shot one 30 round magazine of the same ammo and...
