I have had one for about a monthe or so. I've put close to 500 rounds through it of ball, hp, fmj 115gr, 124gr and 147 gr ammo. I took it out of the case, checked the barrel and shot it. No failures to feed or eject. If I have two complaints, I find mine shoots a bit low and using that clip on...

I just bought a S&W model 37 this afternoon. Like rdranchers charter, this one was a BUG for a LEO. So the finish is kinda nasty, but it's absolutely solid. Carried lots, shot a little. I paid $275.

What about a used pistol? Check some gun shops and see what they've got. If they're good guys, ask if they have something "in back". Sometimes there's a trade in or consignment gun in the back room that may be just what you're looking for.

I bought the 500A. It came with a 28" and an 18 1/2" barrel. I stuck the 18 1/2" on it, mounted Mossberg factory ghostring sights and put an elastic shell holder on the stock. It's all I need. I like the 590, and it looks cooler, but my 500A will do.

I've got an SA58 and I've been seriously considering removing the bipod and heat shield with just some kind of lighter weight heat shield. Weight and balance are my considerations. I'm sure the bipod doesn't actually weigh very much, but even a pound up front can make a big difference.

Only revolvers? What about tweaked semi autos?

I just bought an EMP. In fact I'm going to finish paying for it tomorrow, then have to wait ten days before I can pick it up. I looked at the Para at the same time, but I just liked the EMP better. Buy the one that floats your boat. They're both good pistols.
