How to clean USGI pull down bullets?

I used a solution of kosher salt and vinegar to clean some Hornady SST's yesterday, using this method: amazing results, in just a few minutes. they look brand new.

    Smith vs other brands

I own 7 S&W revolvers, none with the lock. I generally don't care for the IL, but would not refuse to own a newer gun just because of the lock. I also own 1 Ruger (SP101). I've always liked Smiths. My first was a 686 4", and I will never part with it.

.223 casings below trim to length

I had the same question a while back for reloading .223. I can't recall the specifics at the moment, but if you are using an RCBS X-Die, the instructions call for you to "full-length resize each case and trim to .020" under maximum case length". If you follow these instructions, you will be...

    Letter to Anti-Gun Waffle House

I carried in a Louisiana waffle house just the other day. I was there very early in the morning with a buddy after dropping some folks at the airport. There was no signage and I didn't think twice about it. I will continue to do so.

So who used to be anti-gun?

Wow..this thread is very interesting. I didn't know we had so many converts on THR. I grew up in Florida and love guns from an early age. When I turned 21, thankfully FL had just passed concealed weapon legislation and I got my permit, right after my Dad got his. Keep those stories coming!

    AMC Theaters posting mostly-compliant signs

I agree with the above. Every time I give the theater a "second chance", I get disappointed. Loud people talking through the whole movie, babies screaming in late-night R-rated movies, you name it. I have all but quit going. I enjoy my 50" HDTV with 5.1 much better.

American Rifleman -Smith And Wesson New Products Picture Of Model 29 NO LOCK???

While I was looking at a Model 40 at the SHOT show, I told the Smith rep the reason I liked it so much was that it didn't have the dreaded lock. He chuckled and told me to "get used to it" because it wasn't going anywhere, basically to "get over it". We can only hope they see the light and get...

    Hornady LNL AP Tip

Mine was loose out of the box...took me a while to figure it out too! Before I tightened it up, I was thinking "boy this press sure has a lot of slop in it" Now if we can get that ejection wire problem solved once and for all! :banghead:

    ATG: Ammunition To Go

Good to go! I just received an order from them. As others have stated, they carry some of the harder to find ammo that other retailers don't have. Highly recommended.

Wife is buying me a Dillon SDB

I have a SDB that dates to 1991. Been back to Dillon for an overhaul recently (free), and still running strong. It has only loaded .45 Auto, and done so to perfection. Highly recommended. Many Dillon aficionados have a SDB that they use exclusively for one pistol caliber. They are true gems.

    Questions about Hornady LNL bushings

In my experience, the dies must be adjusted when switching presses. I have a Hornady LnL and a Lee Classic Cast that I use with the bushings. Fortunately, I don't reload large-caliber rifle on the progressive, so adjustments are minimal. If I need to do some resizing of 223 on the Lee, I have to...

Bullet seating problem on Hornady LNL

Also, you might want to consider they type of bullet vs. the seating stem you are using. I was having inconsistent seating with 124 gr flat point bullets until I switched to the flat-bottomed seating stem. Problem solved. I don't know how the 9mm Lee dies are packaged, but the Hornady dies...
