I saw my Auk sitting in the back of my rifle safe today and thought to myself..... I wonder if anyone else was as disappointed with this knife as I was?
I really wanted to like this knife but in the end the poor ergonomics and thick grind just didn't cut it for me...:(
Anyone else using theirs?
I got an old Ithaca 37 a while back and the original mag spring was broken so I've now ordered a Wolf replacement spring(extra power) that is kind of a one size fits all trim to fit proposition...
I haven't tried it yet so maybe the full length will work but I thought I'd throw this out there...
I just pulled the trigger so to speak on this old Ithaca 37 and I should have it in a week or so....but I was wondering if any of you had seen this style of checkering before?
It's not the best picture but the seller says it's in great shape.
I was watching the AGI 870 armourer's course with Rob Dunlap recently and he was saying that if you put a flextab carrier in an older 870 it would do the job and there was no reason to change to the newer bolt with the relief cuts or whatever is different.....
Any one try this?
Well after being away most of the summer I got home a couple weeks ago and finally got to check out my AUK knives that I received through the group buy that hso put together!
First of all I'd like to thank hso for doing all the legwork on this group buy!!
These knives are my first foray...
I just picked up a new to me New Frontier Buntline with .22lr and 22mag cylinders...
Most of the pictures of this gun I've seen show the .22mag cylinder as being unfluted, but on this revolver both cylinders are fluted and the .22lr is so marked while the mag cylindre has no stamp.
Anyone...
Yes!
You can even remove it and put it back on....There is a threaded ring that holds it to the action bar tube.
I probably didn't answer your post very well but it was not much of a post....
If you are talking about the side to side play of the forend...maybe you should try a Rem 870.
