+1 Nickle, I can't imaging doing the short distance stuff without the .22lr. With the cost of ammo today it is better to practice with the 22 and save the good stuff for when you really need it.

I hate to disagree with you General. How many times are you going to have that bench with you when you are say... Hunting? The best you or your equipment can be is when used properly. That is why the Appleseeds are important. They teach the basics. Then you get better with practice.

Chris the prefer you learn to use your iron sites, but I have seen scopes on the line,(older folks don't see too good). Bring what you have, they will work with that!

Just a thought... with all the reciprocity laws wouldn't it be easier to just carry the on eissued by your home state?
