Good price for a Charles Daly 10-40/45

Well then I suppose 140 bucks wouldn't be too much to sacrifice. I've always been curious about that pattern of gun anyway. And thanks for taking the time Mr. Kassnar, I may pick it up just because I know your company has a presence here if needed:)

Good price for a Charles Daly 10-40/45

Good price for one new? Used? Is this a quality firearm? I've not heard much on this brand.

Something that crossed my mind today

Yep I'm in the facebook generation too. I get bombarded with "updates" on what's going on with HS acquaintances all day long.

Can anyone analyse my rifle shooting?

Okay somehow I managed to miss the word "rifle" in the post title. Those ideas I threw out were for handguns. Oh well, maybe they still help.

Can anyone analyse my rifle shooting?

I've heard the trigger should contact right in the center of the pad of the first knuckle. You can train yourself to do this by placing tape on the outsides of the pad while practicing to get used to where the trigger should contact. Then again I've also heard getting it all the way in to the...

Concealed Carry Essay: Rebuttal from Teacher

For those that keep pointing out that the grade was fair for the paper according to the grammar and structure... HE KNOWS. The point is that professor d-bag graded by his opinion rather than grading the paper like he's supposed to. He's supposed to detail errors and possibly note ways that it...

    Looking at 1911s

Yes I could find a stainless Taurus for under 600. Nowhere near that MSRP. Haven't dealt with the customer service but since the ones I've owned never had issues, I guess I don't care :D

    How long for Uberti repair?

Okay will do! I'll have to call the gun shop to get the serial # and info. Since it was newly purchased from them, I took it back to them and they checked it out and sent it back to Uberti.

    How long for Uberti repair?

I didn't realize that was an option. Is is possible to "check in" with them and see how it's going?

    How long for Uberti repair?

I had my brand new Uberti Outlaw sent back to the manufacturer for lack of headspace (or something). I've never had to send anything back for repairs before so I had two questions... Will they repair my firearm or send a new one? If they repair, what kind of a time period am I looking at...

    Kansas CCW Trainer?

Anyone here a CCW course provider? Or know one? I think I'd rather do something small and private than go to one of the larger range courses with a bunch of people. EDIT: I'm in central KS, around McPherson.

I had them work on my PSL a while back. They seem to know their stuff (The Bulletstop I mean).

Tell Me About The Bloopers You Had While Carrying

This wasn't while "packing" I suppose but while walking through a field hunting critters a buddy of mine took a shot at a can which was in front of a tailgate. Hit the tailgate and hummed back within what had to be about 6 inches of my left ear. Needless to say it got the adrenaline pumping.

    Sweet's 7.62 Solvent: Good stuff!

Well according to Sweet's it contains 5% Ammonia and is advertised elsewhere as cleaning out the salts. False advertising?

Do you have more than 1 gun in the same caliber?

2 .22's: Ruger 10/22 and a Browning Buckmark I also have two 7.62x54R rifles. One is the PSL(my baby), and the other is my Mosin. I have multiple guns in these calibers because I think they're cool guns and the ammo is cheap (or was).

    Sweet's 7.62 Solvent: Good stuff!

Just wanted to toss this out there for those that aren't aware of this stuff. I'm sure a lot of you have already tried it. Sweet's 7.62 Solvent is great if you are like myself and shoot a lot of corrosive ammo and always want to make sure your gun is safe from damage afterwards. It's one of...
