i beg to differ on telling the difference, the powder bar mechanism is visibly quite different. just make sure all the pieces parts are there, it don't take to many pieces to be missing before it turns into a bad deal, i/e primer tubes, both powder bars, both primer bars.. etc.

i have had no problems like your describing w/ mine, i never installed a battery, just plug it in and have never shut it off, it will drift once in a while, i keep it and an rcbs right next to it, i usually use the rcbs and double check ever couple on the pact.

ditto krochus, when i finish up the reloader 25 powder i got i will switch to comparable hodgdon powder, as it is i only got two rifles shooting non hodgdon products, but i got 7 pounds of my 8 left so i won't switch them over till its gone.

they work better for me, what i have found is rather than string out a group up/down or left/right etc. i get a nice jagged round hole. this has only been true on .224 14 twist barrels, i have not seen any benefit on the faster barrel twist in 224, or any of my 30 cal's

i finally settled on moly for one of my rifles, i find i don't get as many fliers, hopefully now that i've firmly decided on my load, they won't quit making them, it did take about 30rds before the rifle decided it liked them, once the barrel got good and lubed, the group just kept tightening up.
