    Help needed! Western Field shotgun

A very good friend was gifted a Western Field 20 gauge bolt action shotgun. The finish is in good/great condition as is the stock however it is missing the magazine. I have been all over the place looking for this seemingly fictional part. The gun is actually a Western Field 15k, I'm finding...

    Thinking about a new rifle

Wanting to get a house rifle, wanting a cartridge large enough for a whitetail or 2 legged creature, but fairly low on the recoil. I am leaning heavily towards a used Winchester 94 but wanted see if you wonderful folks could toss me an option I had not considered. The cartridges I've considered...

Next purchase will be a 9mm for plink/target

I'm pretty happy with my carry weapons and will in the next year or so look into getting a full size 9mm for taking on evil pop cans in the wild of the backyard. Don't really know or have too many bias on them yet. I want/need it to not be ammo picky as I don't plan on using self defense quality...

Picked up a new holster for 1911

Picked up a DeSantis 106/85 IWB holster for my 1911 (Taurus PT1911 to be exact) and I've had it a few days and worn it so thought I would drop a review. The holster seems to be very heavy duty in construction, the leather is thick and stitches seem strong. This holster has the ability to be worn...

    4566TSW purchase

I've never owned a Smith & Wesson semi, but just made arrangements to get one of the 4566TSW's from the department I work for. My LEO's all state the gun is accurate and reliable as long as its clean. I won't lie, I'm buying it more for my Department's markings on the gun as it has 85th...

    Super Blackhawk

Hi folks, I got into some money troubles a while back and had to let go of my blackhawk. I'm out of the hole now and looking to get another one but prices seems to have climbed a bit. I'm looking for a .44 mag with the 7.5 inch tube. I would like stainless but not that picky. I already have...

    New 870

Just bought a very used 870 from my department. 870 wingmaster with 18inch rifle sighted, very slick, excellent mechanical condition and about 75% cosmetic condition for $200 bucks. I'm happy with it, will have pics soon :)

    My Taurus PT1911

Just turned in 600 rds in two years time with no failures. Not a failure to fire, eject, or load. In fact the only issue I can report is that with the more angular Hornady bullets I like, if you don't have the rounds seated all the way to the back of the mag they'll hang up on the chamber, but...

    Armoured White Tail?

I live in south central WV, the deer here are small by anyone's measure. I have to ask why in the world people decide these creatures must be destroyed by uber magnums. If anyone has been to my part of the country they probably know that the land doesn't lend to high range shooting either. I've...

A load of ammo given to me

Had a bunch of ammo given to me, while most of it was in its proper boxes there are about 600 rds of what I believe (99.9% sure) is 7.62x39 but wanted to see if the gurus here could confirm. The head stamp is 31 on the top and 90 on the bottom. The ammo is packaged in brown paper wrap inside of...

    The evil THEM

I often get this feeling that there are a lot of people involved with firearms that really creep me out. Its not by their ownership of a weapon or the such its the level of paranoia they seem to harbor. The tin foil hat crowd is really off setting sometimes. I'll try to elaborate...most of the...

    .22 RG 6-shot revolver

Its a cheap gun, very cheap, but it was my grandfather's so I'm going to hang on to it. After firing, it takes a herculian effort to eject the spent casings, unfired casings will fall free with no effort. It does fire to point of aim and no fail to fires. Any remedy for the ejection?

Conspiracy, tin foil hats, and me.

I run across a lot of things that are a turn off to the normal person on the net. Not often on this particular forum mind you (thats why I'm a member) but it seems there are some poorly worded arguements floating around and some things are often presented in ways that sound like out right...

New to precision target (can I get a VTR thread)

I ordered a Remington VTR for mostly punching paper with possibly moving on to groundhog sniping. I'm sure it will shoot better than me out of the box but as time moves on and I get better I know of some of the things that will make it more accurate. Excluding the glass that tops it, because...

Just laid away a like new model 66

While paying on a lay-away at my local shope I came across a still in original box with brush and tool model 66. The .357 is in unfired condition and is an engraved piece with "West Virginia Fraternal Order Of Police" down its barrel. The FOP star just aft of the cylinder and 1 of 175 below the...

Anyone know somewhere I can order a Lower

Looking for a safe reputable place to get a 5.56 lower for an AR-15. Would prefer Colt, Bushmaster, or DPMS assembled with a six position stock. If anyone knows a decent place to order that has one in stock please let me know. Have a shop to do the FFL, just haven't found one yet.

    A question about my 870

Recently purchased a Remington 870 Express 7 shot. I like the weapon a lot. However I've read several posts about changing certain parts out to improve reliability. What parts are they and does anyone actually know if they're apt to fail? My gun has the polymer trigger guard, it has the factory...

    Just to share

I was always in a bit of trouble in high school. Never any legal stuff, just stayed on the bad side of the administration. I wouldn't admit to having a temper but I was in more than my share of school yard fights and in my generation that is really frowned upon. So after one such occasion of...
