    Stevens 512

A local shop has a bunch of the stevens 512 O/U shotguns that are factory scratch and dent rejects available for $299. At that price is there any reason not to get one for a grouse gun in 20 or 410? Not into shooting comp. just some random clay pigeons every once in a while so it might get...

.300 win mag -vs- 7mm Rem Mag

I personally use the 300, my brother uses the 7mm, both work out to 400yds. If you hand load you can get the 180 in the 300 going over 3100fps, has great power. If he lost the elk how do you know it was a double lung, and not six inches farther back in the guts?

    410 Saiga shotgun ideas?

Somebody did what you are talking about, except they used a new barrel. I think it was over on The Firing Line forum.

    Walmart

I think he was talking about the federal 12 gauge shotty shells, they are a good deal for practice and clays. The 9mm is by far the best price I can get around here.

    shooting sticks

My brother and I both use the Stoney Point sticks, the shorter ones for sitting or kneeling. They work great, we have both taken deer at ~400yds with them, way better then shooting freehanded. I would recommend practicing with them and taking them along, I'll never go out without them again.

    Savage 110 vs Stevens 200

The stevens 200 is the pre-accutrigger savage. As long as the the stock your looking at is for an older savage, and not the new bolt spacing it should work fine.

    marlin cowboy 41mag

I have an opportunity to get a marlin cowboy in 41 mag to go along with my marlin 45/70 cowboy. Its got the octagon barrel and straight stock, with very few rounds through it. I already shoot a 41 revolver so it would be a good fit in my mini collection. The guy is asking $500, which...

    I need a P-Dog Gun.

my brother just got a marlin 17hmr, the stainless bull barrel carbon fiber stocked one. with a 4-12 bushnell 3200 it'll put three shots in one hole at a hundred yards. It's extremely handy and easy to shoot.

    Ruger Single Six convertable

I figured it was a bit high, most of the newer rifles he has are at full retail pricing. I checked it out and everything was nice and tight with the mag cylinder, he said the box and LR cylinder were in the back room. I'll go check with the guy I buy most of my stuff from tomorrow, see what...

    Ruger Single Six convertable

I found a like new Stainless Single Six, ~6" barrel, with both the 22LR and Mag cylinder at the pawnshop today, they are asking $400. Was wondering if thats about right or if its a bit high? I'm starting to really enjoy shooting rimfire guns, so this one caught my eye. Any thoughts on it...

    CMMG Bargain Bin

I got one around X-mas, built on a dpms lower. No evidence of why it was in the bargain bin, so far it shoots great. I was extremely happy for a first AR that is just a fun gun.

    Stevens 200

I've had a Stevens 223 for a year or so, love it. shoots ~1.5" consistantly, way better then that with 68gr black hills blue box ammo, haven't gotten into reloading for it to much yet, but it's been promising so far. I'm looking at getting one in 270 for a lighter hunting rifle shortly.
