S&W TDAs are fairly simple to field strip. The 45s are single column and fit well in my hands (I prefer them a bit more than my Colts). I suggest the 4566- they can be had relatively inexpensive and are similar size of a commander. This the exact model I have- not my gun but is the same

Colt. A good but, inexpensive 1911 in my opinion is a Springer GI.

As mentioned the 457. It is a nice gun. The only analogous equivalent to the 908 and 457 that comes to my mind is the 4013. I am not sure if it uses a single stack mag.

I too really like my 3" Colt (sad I can't get a New Agent :(). The S&W 457 might also be worth a try- I like those as well.

I have owned a Glock and an XD. They are long gone, but I still hold dear the Steyr M40- great gun imo :D I still prefer S&W TDAs and 1911s over polymers.

I have two Colts. An XSE and an officer's 1991a1. I use both regularly, but the S&W 4566 gets %50 of rounds I bring.

1- A mixed bag of realism and fiction. Some games are better than others. 2- If the artist making the weapon is knowledgeable and interested in firearms, then it will most likely be spot on depiction. There is the possibility of the artist being told to do such and such to make it "kool"...

This 590 was my first shotgun and I have really treated it poorly. But, it still works fine like the day I bought it. It had a Houge stock but it got crushed and snapped after something large fell on it... replaced it with some old 500 wood furniture that appear to be from two different guns...

I recently purchased a 908. I really enjoyed shooting it at the range... over 300 rounds to break it in. Not a single complaint from me. I just ordered a 3913 steel guide rod to drop in the 908. It fits and functions as far as not firing live ammunition. The guide rods themselves are very close...

Fortunately just numerous hammer bites on my index finger and palm.

I recommend M&P and Steyr M series.
