You are pretty close to Pittsburgh. The NRA show is there the last weekend of April. Go and talk to the people from Kahr Arms. They are very nice people and it works better if you can articulate your point face to face.
I have one of the TP45's and love it. It's flat and lightweight...
I carried a 3913 in a cheap nylon shoulder rig for a month or so until I could get back to carrying on my belt.
I had 4 back surgeries. Listen to what the Doc says and don't push it....at all. I felt good after 1 week and decided I felt good enough to make a salad...wrong. The muscles they...
stiletto,
What height rings did you use? I have an XS rail on mine and have a scope for it. I was wondering what would be the best height for it.
Thanks!
I have owned Glock 30's and 36's. They were really good guns. Worked all the time. I got my S&W MP 45 Compact 3 months ago and it's been my carry gun ever since. It feels much better in the hand. It carrys easier also. It's not as blocky as the Glocks. It shoots great and after more than...
After each of my 2 lumbar fusions, I carried a S&W 3919 in a light nylon horizontal holster until I could get back to IWB carry. It worked well for me. Ankle holsters are definitley out for several months due to the bending.
I carried a 4586 for 4 years. It's not difficult with the right holster. I used a Rosen ARG and it carried just fine. It is a great gun. Mine never stopped on me even when the ejector broke. I discovered this after a shooting class when I tore it down to clean it. It has been relegated to...
I put over 100 rds of hot +P loads thru my Judge and it still works and shoots just fine. From my experience I wouldn't hesitate to shoot them in the Judge. I understand the accelerated wear the gun will be subject to, but for a defensive gun, I think it's worth it.
yonse,
The people that own DPMS in St Cloud are have a rifle "First Shots" program some weekend in Sept. It's free and you'll learn about rifle shooting and get to shoot an AR type rifle. The program is funded by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. You can get more info from their...
I like mine alot. It shoots well, functions all the time, is plenty accurate and it is on par with the old 357 Magnum as far as power. I also like the loud muzzle blast. Recoil isn't any worse than a 9mm +P. Great selection of really good ammo too.
The slight temporary cavity was probably caused by the fact that it was shot at from only 1' away. That's close enough that some of the gas entered the block. Shots from a handgun into ballistic gel are usually from 10' so that the gas disipates and doesn't flaw the results.
This isn't a...
I love my 5" 460! Recoil is similar to the longer 8 amd 10" guns however muzzle blast and flash are really something! I tried the CORBON 200 gr DPX and their 325 Bonded Core load. The 200 gr loads has a very large but very cool fireball. The 325 is a nice load and had minimal muzzle flash...
I worked in a retail gunshop for 2 years, so I may be able to add something here.
First off, too many "clerks" don't have a clue. They are familiar with one or two types of guns/shooting. If a competitive shooter is working there and you're looking for hunting stuff, you'll get very little...
