I just installed a modified low profile bolt handle on my cz 527 and have on order a new leupold vxr 3-9x40mm. I'm curious what scope rings would give me the lowest mounting with the new setup? I was looking at the leupold 30mm rings in medium height. They don't have a low but it may not be...
by far it is my 12 gauge double. barrels were cut to 24", stock shortened and hollowed out, it is by far the best field gun i've had. but my god does that lil thing kick. it weighs only about 6 lbs, so you definitely feel anything you put in it, god forbid magnum loads.
those are all very strong and validating points you guys make. i guess i've never looked at situations that way before, seeing as though as i come from a fairly safe small town.
very good points. and i know problems occur outside the inner city, i was just using it as an example. now i'm assuming most people do not know you carry, so them thinking differently of you bc u carry do not exist.
I guess what i'm trying to say is you don't feel as if you're labeled anything...
for those of you who carry and conceal, what reason do you feel the need to carry a pistol, and where do you travel to where u feel as if you may need one? i'm just trying to figure out why people outside of lets just say the inner cities for instance would feel the need to carry a pistol with them.
ive heard of hunting pigeons in the states...but i believe its more of a midwestern thing. idk of any pigeon hunters here in ny. but then again maybe its just the area of ny i'm from
and other great reasons why i should pick one up. i have a double i use for skeet and field hunting...but i really would love to have a smooth operating semi-auto for shootin clays all day, waterfowl, and just for plain fun w/o leaving my shoulder bruised up after a couple hundred shells.
just lookin around and saw a couple for sale on the internet. idk much about them but for the prices i saw they seem like phenomenal gus for the money. do you guys know much about them, years made, models, reliability, etc? thanks a lot
i thought of grinding it down and bluing it myself....but then thought itd be so much easier to see if there was an aftermarket somewhere and there it is haha. thanks
i know that the 527 has a tendency for the bolt handle to rub the bottom of the scope if high rings and a smaller scope isn't used. is there some kind of aftermarket bolt, or a do it yourself bolt fix?
my lyman powder measure is pretty bad. it doesn't make consistent loads. i guess i'm going to have to handload each one by hand by measuring it out on my scale. is there an easier or a quicker way to do it on my scale?
i have the sierra reloading manual. but i'm looking for a book that shows the step by step procedures for actually reloading a cartridge. which manual out there does this job the best? i have a 25 dollar gift card to cabelas that i'd like to use wisely. any suggestions?
how many of you guys had a wrist rocket when you were younger? my last one broke, and i think i'm gonna pick up a new one from cabelas. theres nothing more fun than bringing back your child hood memories of sling shots and soda cans, haha
well, if this helps, the 1.2 inch mid range trajectory was from a gun with a sight 1.5" above the center of the bore. my rifle is 2.25" above the center of the bore. it has a bc of .255. 3000 fps. i would love it if u could plug it into your computer just so i can see, thanks
i've got a .221 fireball sighted in at a 100 yards. some info: 3000 fps, 1.2 inches high at 100 yards with a 200 yard zero. now my question is. since my gun is sighted in at a 100 yards, and the scope is about 2 and a quarter inches above the center of the bore, where do you think the bullet...
