Right to carry animated gif, very interesting

I ran across this old thread while searching to see who was linking my map, after having updated it to reflect the new shall-issue law in Iowa. I'm responding to it because it might lead to a misunderstanding. Gary Shade contacted me, a number of years ago, about my map. He disagreed with my...

    RTC.GIF - request for help

Sorry if I've let everyone down by not pushing this as hard as I could have. There have been some distracting aspects to my personal life, these last couple of months. I have kept track of all the citations provided, and should they start complaining about the image again, I'll post them to...

Why do I "NEED" a gun? Here's why!

You probably don't, right now. Most people never need one. But things can change very quickly. You could go home tonight and find your wife's college roommate sleeping on the couch, on the run because her abusive ex-husband just got out on parole. You probably don't need a gun, yet. But...

Mean, rotten, nasty underhanded kinda idea...

Not a problem. DL the results page, parse the html to locate the ad links, then DL the ad pages. It's 10-lines of shell script, instead of 3. I checked - the URLs for the ads point to Google, so DLing them directly, instead of as a link on the search results page, should still count as a hit.

    RTC.GIF - request for help

I'll deal with the Wiki admins, when I have the data together. I've little free time, this week, but I should have time to get something started, this weekend.

    RTC.GIF - request for help

I want to thank everyone who's helped, so far. I'll be adding a table to the website this weekend. I just don't have time, right now.

    RTC.GIF - request for help

Thanks for the help. I'll add this to what I've accumulated myself, and add a table to the web-page with what we've gathered so far, in a couple of days.

    RTC.GIF - request for help

Many of you have seen my animated map of shall-issue states: http://www.gun-nuttery.com/rtc.php A few years ago someone asked if they could include it in the Wikipedia article Concealed carry in the United_States. I said yes. Since then there have been repeated attempts by Wiki...

    AMC Theaters posting mostly-compliant signs

No, they're not. They are assuming a liability that they otherwise would not have. It's not that they by posting signs they are keeping out law-abiding permit holders. It's by posting signs they are making a promise to the patrons that there are no guns present. If some loon with a gun...

    AMC Theaters posting mostly-compliant signs

I went to a movie, the other night. At an AMC theater here in Minnesota. A year or so ago AMC started posting little no-guns decals in the doors. No words, just the circle-slash-gun. Not even close to complying with Minnesota's statutory language. Last night, I saw that they'd changed...

    Faux "No Firearms Permitted" Signs

I disagree. The greatest weapon the anti's have had is their ability to portray gun ownership as perverse - something other than ordinary. Every one of those signs is an announcement that there are a lot of ordinary people out there, carrying guns as a normal thing. That...

Bill To Repeal "Sporting Purposes" Clause

We don't need to repeal We don't need to repeal the "sporting use" clause. All we need to do is add a clarification that competitive shooting is a legitimate sporting use. Nearly every firearm that is currently excluded as being not being suited for a sporting use is used in a competitive...

    Minnesota Mountain Lions!

The big problem is leashes. We used to have pre-teen boys crawling through every patch of scrub within miles of any town with their guns and their dogs. We've leashed the dogs and we've leashed the boys, and the result is that those patches of scrub are now safe habitat for wildlife.

    Minnesota Mountain Lions!

We used to have mountains in Minnesota. But they were made out of iron ore, so we knocked them down and shipped them to Detroit. Now all we have are huge holes in the ground and monstrous piles of rusting cars.

    Confused about Terry Schiavo

And far more have said that such a diagnosis cannot be reliably made without tests that have never been done, and which her husband has persistently refused to allow. She's never even had an MRI. She may well be in a PVG, but neither the doctors nor the courts know that to be a fact.

Is there a difference between hiking boots and hunting boots?

Hunters spend much more time standing around in the cold than do hikers.

FALLACY: It's more accurate than me

I have a 1911 .45 ACP that is quite capable of putting all 7 shots in the same hole at 25 feet. I know, because I've come awful close. It is my belief that this pistol's capabilities exceed my ability to exploit them. Therefore, I can safely state: "This pistol is more accurate than I am". I...
