SIG P225 / P6: the weirdest-looking, prettiest SIG pistol IMO

Like the OP, the P225 magazine baseplate length disturbed my grip on the pistol so I changed them - a member on the SigForum made the best I have seen and felt.

    Would you or wouldn't you? S&W 5906

Last year when Centerfire had some surplus 5906 frames, I assembled a shooter pistol for a $200 investment. I won't beat that deal for a while.

    3913 Smith and Wesson

I am obviously a fan - great pistols.

Smith and Wesson 3913 and 4013.

The single-stack 4013 shares frame size with the 4516. A 3913 should fit the holster - maybe a bit loose.

    Sig Sauer P6

The length of the P6/P225 magazine floorplate was always a problem for me as far as grip ergonomics was concerned. There was a member on the SigForum that made an aluminum replacement that was ideal but it seems he has not been on that forum in quite some time.

    Walther P88 Compact?

I bought my P88C in 1995 NIB for $800 after lusting over it in the 94 Interarms catalog . I remember my excitement in seeing the ad in Shotgun News for a dealer that actually had them in stock. I replaced the Clinton-era 10rd magazines from a source in Germany for around $30 each. I bought a...

Those that have them know that they are the best! Your pistol is early and may have a recalled grip. If your grip has no dimple on the bottom, S&W owes you an updated grip.

If you can find them, the Uncle Mike's rubber grip panels were an improvement over the factory grips. You may want to be aware that your pistol falls within the serial number range of a recall. http://www.firearmsid.com/Recalls/FA_Recalls%205.htm#SMITH & WESSON, MODEL 439, 459, 469, 539, 559...

    S&w 3906

You will love the 3906 - I know I do. That is an early example (blade rear sight). You may want to make sure that the grip recall was taken care of. RECALL: Smith & Wesson has shipped over 300,000 Third generation Pistols. We have had a very small number or reports where a dropped pistol...
