I could not stop myself...Little Ponies

Started with an XSP... Next thing I know, I have a whole stable full of Colts. Pictured are 2 Government 380's an XSP, a Plus II, Pony Pocketlite, and 2 all steel mustangs - one of them in Coltguard enickel. All of them shoot great and are the softest recoiling little pocket guns I have ever...

    Neat little FN 1906

Found this little beauty in the gun case and immediately bought it. The unique aspect of this pistol is the marking "K.P.M.D. No. 8" which is an Imperial German Police stamp. It signifies Koniglich Polizei-Direktion Munchen weapon no. 8. I found the following on another board from someone...

    My reborn Astra Terminator .44

I was not pleased to find that my .44 Mag Astra Terminator had a broken firing pin a couple years ago. I searched high and low for years for a replacement. Well, I decided to see if I could find something that would work. After looking at the exploded drawings of an Astra .357 and comparing...

My brush with Old School Wheelgun Greatness

I was in Sugarland Texas today for a meeting. My appointment got pushed by a couple hours so I decided to hit up a local gun shop to see what they had. After browsing some cases and seeing some nice old Smiths and other guns, my eyes settled on a cut down Ruger in 44 mag. Something about the...

    Best...Week...Ever

So, not only did I find an Astra Terminator this week, I just picked up a Colt Lawman MKIII Snub in Electroless Nickel. Gun is in great shape with the EN worn a little shiny on the usual high spots due to holster wear but is is in great condition with good lockup, smooth trigger and no scratches...

    My New Mustang

New to me at least... Picked her up at the gun show for $500. Perhaps a bit high, maybe not. Blue is in great condition. I looked her over real well with a flashlight at the show and it appeared she just needed a good cleaning. Thankfully, I was right. A little blue wear around the edges of...

    Safety Hammerless

New "old" gun for me. Sat in the gun case tempting me with her curves. I finally gave in. Serial number indicates she was one of the first 3rd model guns made as is is not too many past where the 2nd model ended. I am amazed at the quality of machining on this gun. Hinge is good, no play...

    Lemon Squeezer help please...

    Garand Gurus - Questions!!!

Ok, picking this up in another day or two. A "Tanker"Garand. I was able to shoot it first and the gun is a tack driver and very reliable. It is in the original 30.06 caliber. Do any of you guys recognize who may have done the conversion on it? It appears to have been very well done and once...

    Pre-64 Winchester 94 value?

I have an old 1955 Winchester model 94 in 30-30. The barrel has beautiful blue on it, no real marks. The receiver finish is worn off and is kind of a gray-brown color. Action is perfect and smooth. Stock shows finish worn off in spots but no cracks, gouges, etc. I am thinking of selling it...

For those that like Bond Derringers...

I found this court document fascinating: http://www.10thcoa.courts.state.tx.us/opinions/htmlopinion.asp?OpinionId=1795 Seems like ADC was like so many other companies. No innovation, no leadership, pays no attention to employee drive and enthusiasm and then gets jealous of other's success...

    A unique little derringer...

I have been looking for one of these for quite some time - A 4 Aces Manufacturing derringer. Some other companies have made similar guns. I collect pocket pistols and this is one type I have been searching for. Should be receiving it shortly from the seller. Erl Svendsen made a very similar...

    1955 Winchester 94

Every now and then, my faith in guns shows is restored. Found a 1955 Winchester 94 today (sn 21855XX). Receiver has the normal finish wear they all show if they are not safe queens - in other words the sides of the receiver have the finish worn to a nice brownish patina. No pitting, just wear...

Anyone ever mess aorund with cusomizing their own grips?

I had a couple of really nice Indian Head Pennies that I have wanted to do something with. So, I set them into the grips of my Bond Derringer. Was easy to do and looks really nice. They are mounted flush with the grip and really add a little old-west flair to my favorite pocket gun. Here are a...

1911 Experts - Need help with a Remington Rand

Friend of mine has a Remington Rand 1911 - Serial # 10875XX Parkerized finish with checkered wood grips. The gun is not marked anywhere with any government markings (nor "Property of" etc.) It certainly appears to be an all original gun. I would think it falls somewhere in a 1943 or so...

Look Out! I've got a gun!

Saw this and had to have it. NAA in .22 short. No safety notches, so I have 4 rounds of rompin' stompin' .22 short. Too cute to leave behind. This little gun is so well made and put together. It locks up tight as a drum. One of those "Why? Because I wanted it" type of guns... Pictured with a...

BBQ Gun - .44 mag style

Here's a handful for you. Bond Arms Texas Defender with faux ivory grips and gold inlaid .44 mag barrels. Just the thing for the recoil junky in all of us. Yes I do shoot it with .44 mags, yes it kicks. Hits COM out to 15-20 yards though and beats the hell out of a .32. .44 Specials are...
