FYI - Excellent Grips for Sig P238 .380

Hi, All, Just an FYI... After lots of Googling, I found a thread on THR about some replacement grips for the Sig P238. (I wonder why more P238 grips & holsters aren't available yet.) Anyway...I am extremely happy with the P238 grips I just received from VZ Grips...

    Can S&W M&P 9mm handle +P cartridges?

Hi, THR Folks, I'm sure this has been discussed, but I failed in my search for it...FAILED! :banghead: QUESTION: Will a Smith & Wesson M&P 9 mm handle an occasional load of +P cartridges? (Page 11 of the M&P user manual only mentions additional wear on a handgun.) REASON: I picked...

Sig P238 Holster by RKBA - Great Product!

Hi, THR Folks, Just a quick holster recommendation...just received my new RKBA pocket holster for my Sig P238 .380, and I thought I would mention some features I like. FIT: This leather RKBA is very closely molded to the pistol, so it grips the P238 securely, which I prefer. (I've got a...

Small 9/40 Pistols - Why don't more manufacturers create them?

All of you make good points... But...since Kahr can charge up to 600 dollars for a pocket 9 (and is about to release a new PM9 with a manual safety and night sights for $1000 MSRP) then I'd really like to see some other manufacturers get with the program. Robt.

Small 9/40 Pistols - Why don't more manufacturers create them?

Hi, THR Folks, QUESTION: Why don't more firearm manufacturers create small and slender 9/40 pocket pistols? Has anyone asked the manufacturers' reps about this? :fire: OPINION: In my opinion, 9 mm pistols larger and thicker than the Kahr PM9/ PM40 and KelTec PF-9 do not quality...

XD for carry: couple of question

I don't have answers to all your queries...and this is just my opinion...but i REALLY like my XD40 Sub-Compacts. (which I believe to be the same dimensions as the XD9.) They feel better in my hands than any other handgun I own...but that's just me. The tactile chamber indicator and the grip...

    40 S&W Accessories

Hi, Pathtoyorsoul... This is just my opinion....well, it's the opinion of lots of folks...but if the firearm you select is so heavy that it requires a gun belt to properly support it, then there is a fair chance that you eventually find reasons to NOT carry it. (That opinion will upset a...

    Walther PPS

FYI...just a comment on PPS holsters..which are not so easy to find. I have a Don Hume "001" Pocket Holster for my PPS, and I understand they are about to start selling their "002" pocket holster with the panel for the PPS. (So, I pre-ordered one....the DH 001 grips the PPS quite securely...

    Sig P238 .380 - Condition 1 or 2 Carry?

Hi, All, My apologies, as I know the 1911 "Carry Condition" topic has been debated ad nauseum. (I tried to search my question.) :banghead: QUESTIONS: Since the new Sig Sauer P238 does NOT have a grip safety... (1) Is still a good idea to carry this 1911-style pistol in...

Does an IWB holster exist for effective CCW in dress clothes?

Good question! I'm surprised there AREN'T more options to suit your needs...since I've googled the same topic. Here is a review of another product..that is pretty low in price... http://www.gunblast.com/Kangaroo.htm Although the holster pouch does not look very...

IWB Holster that Secures AMBI Thumb Safeties on 3" 1911?

Howdy, Highroad! Does anyone know a good IWB holster that would secure, hold, or cover the ambi thumb safety levers on a 3" 1911 Kimber .45? I've read THR posts of Right Side Thumb Safety Levers being at risk of bumping off "Safe". :uhoh: Even though the Grip Safety would be "Safe"...

    308 Ar

Hi, Gunther, Just an additional comment...when I was looking for my first rifle, a .308 AR, I was also considering the Rock River Arms offering. But, I heard and read that RRA is not actually shipping them for some months yet...depending on what rumours one hears. So, I went with DPMS...

how many carry a 1911 with confidence?

. I spied a coupla fun pokes at Democrats in this thread, so I thought it my duty to contribute my more nuanced two cents from the left side of the aisle! :neener: Besides, it depends on what your definition of "confidence" is... I find that as I waffle along through life, in...

How much eye relief is "enough" eye relief? (.308 AR, My First Rifle)

Thanks for your help, Gang! But...I'm still in a quandry.... While the EOTech 552 alone on a .308 presents no eye relief problem, adding the EOTech 3x magnifier behind it IS a problem at only 1.6 inches of relief. Conversely...the Leupold Mark 4 CQ/T 1-3x 14mm has switchable...

Hi, THR Folks! First off, I assure you I searched threads and books and the web and the Practical Long Range Shooting links on these questions. Maybe it's that early dementia again. MY GOAL: To invest in one good quality scope setup for close range fun plinking and medium...
