The G22 will have a slight advantage over the G17 when using good ammo. in both. I prefer 180gr. in 40 and 147gr. in 9 but 165 and 124 is good also. HST, Ranger T, Gold Dot and Golden Saber would be my choices for carry ammo.

I have shot many cases of Blazer aluminum with zero problems and prefer it to WWB which has more problems in general.

For me the G34 for shooting more than 25 yards and the G17 for 25 and less. Longer sight radius of the G34 helps with accuracy but the G17 is fast and accurate for close work. I own several G19, G17 and G34. It is a tough call between the G34 and the G17. Try both before you buy.
