That's not completely correct. Carrying was already allowed in a church for years. The only issue the legislature addressed was to clarify the wording of the following:
(Former wording)
PC §46.035. UNLAWFUL CARRYING OF HANDGUN BY LICENSE
HOLDER.

(b) A license holder commits an offense...
Can reasonable people join together to address the varied causes of violence occurring across our country (including those in which firearms are illegally used)?
Yes.
Can a person afraid of becoming a victim of violence (including that in which firearms are used illegally) join with others to...
Sure. And while we're at it, let's NFA everything that uses a speed loader or stripper clip of any kind. There go the rest of the semis, the bolt actions, and the revolvers too. I see where you're going with it.
Firstly, the shooter on Sunday was a criminal already and wasn’t legal to access ANY firearms, not just semi-automatic rifles.
Secondly, it wasn't our current laws that failed to stop him. It was a breakdown in the system; the same system being proposed to babysit us further by enabling more...
eraozor55's post doesn't say what you think it says. Read it again. I had to as well because his wording is different.

In Texas:
A license holder may carry a handgun anywhere in Texas that is not expressly prohibited by law. Those prohibitions appear in several provisions of...
The applicable quotes of the Texas Penal Code:

It appears this club you've joined is a good ol' boy network club and not a business with the interests of it's customers upfront. With that being the case, you really only have three options.
1. Do what it takes to become one of the good ol' boys. Go along to get along.

Very cool! I've got an old IJ Champion shotgun that I'd like to clean and fix up one day just for the experience of it. Found it in the corner with a bunch of junk at an "antique" store a while back. For now, I'm researching it's age to see if it's BP or smokeless. Might try to shoot it again...
A couple of 12ga's for general purpose and the rest AR's for simplicity and ammo availability is how I'd go.
I've seen people that aren't firearm savvy (training) mess up with pump shotty's because they short-chuck the pump and/or they just can't get the rhythm of rack-shoot-rack-shoot. Also...
Factors external to ourselves must also go into defining and identifying an essential.
Up until a year ago, my essential handgun was a 1911 in .45ACP. It's the first handgun I learned to shoot in the Army. It's grip has always fit my hands better than other handguns. I've never had the problem...
I'm not LE. I'm retired military.
A quick response time, with firepower available, is what's needed in order to neutralize a shooter(s) IOT stop the threat to people in the open.
One solution would be a team of helicopters whose pilots are equipped with NVS and NVG sight systems. Once the...
I'm normally a boots and jeans (boot cut) type of man. As long as I've carried, it's always IWB except for special occasions, like when the wife and I go to the theater (as in not the movies). Due to the snugger fit of the armrests as well as the lobby crowd, I'll carry something small like a...
In actuality, we don't know why the RM acted as he did with this particular customer. For all we know, the customer could easily have been a repeat offender with ignorance as his weapon. The powers that be may have already decided this was the last opportunity for the customer. So, who knows...
Again the dynamic effect of the wind, or more specifically wind drift, affects the round regardless of firing while on the ground or in the air.
Four types of ballistics affect a spin stabilized round fired from a helicopter; interior, exterior, aerial, and terminal. Wind drift is an external...
Uh, no. What is the difference between a helicopter moving forward through the air while it's gun is aimed and firing off-axis or a sniper firing with a crosswind?
Wind effect is wind effect. The bullet doesn't know the difference. The dynamic forces acting upon it while it's spinning are the...
