First buy: SIG SP2022 vs. FN FNP-9

FNP, hands down. Siglike controls, decocker, hammer, etc and better grip options (2 backstraps I believe) and imho, a much better trigger than the SP series. I've owned both, and having midsized hands, the Sig never really fit. They have a replacement grip, but it's only to make the...

    Best deal ever!

I beg to differ. I got a Sig P226 e2 w/ box, and 3 factory 15 round mags, night sights, SRT trigger for $500 dollars at a gun show last weekend. LOL Not sure what that guy was up to, but he had everything on his table marked up 200+ dollars over reasonable. This one however, he must've put...

    What would you do?

Just picked up a new Sig P226 e2 a few weeks back for a song. Literally, like new, for $500 dollars with 3 factory 15 rnd mags. I've been waiting to get a Sig with the SRT/better grip for a while. A buddy of mine is offering a Kimber Tactical Custom II with 2 WC mags for the P226e2 + $150...

    S&W Idenfication?

The reason I appreciate the comments is because I don't know if it's even safe to shoot. Again, even if it's not good news, it's still good to know.

    S&W Idenfication?

a 38 special cartridge fits perfectly in the cylinder. They slide in and fall out easily. Oh well. I didn't pay much for them and the Llama is actually in fine condition.

    S&W Idenfication?

The serial number when I pull the cylinder out, I see "M" and then below it, separate is 27XXX Same serial on the actual cylinder arm as well. There is a V on the underside of the butt but it has a different number  One more question, the cigar box it was in for probably the last...

    S&W Idenfication?

I've heard about post war Model 10s being chopped down. I found it interesting that it doesn't have a model or caliber listed anywhere. Also, usually there is more than just "Made in USA" Also, it has the S&W logo near the grip. I'm definitely puzzled as well.

    S&W Idenfication?

It has no model or caliber markings on it, yet looks identical to a S&W 38/44 HD. Only problem is, I can't find any indications that 38/44s ever came in 2" snubby. Also considering it could be a Model 10-2. Have seen a few that don't look anything like this one though. The front sight...

    New PM9 Break-In & Range Report (Pics)

I've always wanted a Kahr. What is different in the PM9 over the CW9?

    It's not a SIG but.....

Well, that's 3 guys who also agree with me on accuracy. I also wrap mine in the hogues and I swear on my life, no weapon is more balls on accurate (even with cheap ammo)

.45 1911 vs .44 Redhawk as Wilderness Gun

I still have 10+ boxes of Black Talon in .44 magnum. I realize SXT pretty much the same thing, but I don't know if they make SXT in .44 mag. These seem to do a very good job on South Texas Whitetail. There are really countless ways that a revolver in that caliber is a better option. Another...

New carry pistols for my girl & I

I personally don't think ammo cost and the ability to share magazines should ever be considered when you're talking about defending yourself. The best concealed carry pistol you guys could ever get is the one you shoot best. The one you shoot most accurately when it counts. Is .45 acp too...

    It's not a SIG but.....

Forget all the talk about reliability and build quailty... My P239 in .40 is the most accurate handgun I've ever fired. I mean, it's almost a joke when I take it out and shoot it. Every Sig I've ever shot has been extremely accurate out of the box.

    Just got my new G19

Lemme now what I should get for her and where... :D:D Cheap Glock mags, better than factory sights.. How about 3.5# disconnector, or steel guide rod. Also, don't say ammo cause I got enough 9mm to last me a while. :neener:

.45 1911 vs .44 Redhawk as Wilderness Gun

Considering the round capacity isn't far off, and the obvious advantage of the .44 magnum as a hunting load, I'd go ahead and go with the Ruger. I'd always take a revolver over any semi auto in the wilderness. Then again though, I live my life by the Elmer Keith philosophy. Bigger is always...

    Dating girlfriends and guns

Just tell her you're a hunter. ;) When my girlfriend asks, "Why do you have so many guns?" my response is usually "Cause baby, I like to hunt and I need these for snakes, these for coyotes, that for deer, those 3 for dove and quail, that one for squirrels etc" :D

    Your Choice For Survival

I'd take an AR and a Glock out with me. .22 Conversions included. ;)

    Breaking in 1911

Yep, I agree. However, this design, atleast imho requires work in order to correctly feed JHP. I mean, like a feedramp polish or something of that nature. I just don't trust em enough out of the box. I don't trust a made in America Kimber pistol specifically designed for carry and self...

I think I rubbed off the Glock coppery lube :(

Don't worry about it. You could literally do just about anything you want to a Glock. As far as lubrication goes, get yourself some gun oil, apply it sparingly, and wipe her down. That's it :)
