    remington primers fail to fire

I bought 5K Remington 7-1/2 primers some months ago. Been happy with them. I've been using them in .40, .357 mag, and some 45ACP. Had to put heavier hammer springs in all my pistols to get 100% reliable ignition. They're okay in the Hi-Point 4095.

Mossad marked Tanfoglio CZ 75 vs. real CZ

They say the Mossad never says, "No comment" because "No comment" is a comment. All the Best, D. White

    Your "Go-to" pistol powder

When I get through what I have I'm going to be a Bullseye guy. At the moment I have: a couple ounces of 700-X 1/3 pound of Universal 1/4 pound of Bullseye 2 pounds of Unique 1 pound of Power Pistol 1 pound of BE-86 1 pound of AA#7 At 6 grains per round this is about 6,700 rounds. It's going to...

I would never have lost my original reloading log. Lost a lot of good information. All the Best, D. White

Need wisdom on 40 S&W loads...

Keep this under your hat but I shot THOUSANDS of reloads with, get this, LEAD BULLETS through my G22 without any issues. I'd wire brush out the barrel after 150 to 200 rounds but never had a problem. Really, the Glock barrel never seemed to lead up any worse than my conventionally rifled guns...

Mini Buying Spree - pics added

I have the PT-22. It's good for about 50 to 75 rounds before it stops ejecting cases. It's a nice accurate fun to shoot gun though. I hear great things about the Phoenix Arms .22's especially for the price point. All the Best, D. White

Let's talk about 9mm pocket guns

I just picked up a pre-owned, unfired,Taurus PT709 for $235. I wanted something single action with a safety. This was it. Nice pistol. Broke it in with 100 rounds of Federal aluminum case 115gr FMJ's. Did not have one single problem. It's light. It's slender and easy to carry. Adjustable...

    40 S&W load help

Of your powders I'd start with Power Pistol or WSF. BlueDot is going to be a compressed charge most likely. Use data for the 145 bullet and work up. Really though, you should be happy at the same charge for both bullet weights. I've run 155's in .40 never tried the 140's always wondered...

    40 S&W Brass

What JLR2267 said. If you can't see it, it should not be a problem. Never had any special problems loading .40. Just don't get crazy with the pressure and you'll be fine. All the Best, D. White

    Done with kel tec

If you really want it fixed, ship it back through a dealer. Should only cost about $20. I had one shipped a couple years ago for $12. My car breaks the dealer does not pick it up, take it to the shop, and return it. If you really want a no questions asked full life of the gun warranty, buy...

    .357 Reloading Question

Hot loads with uncrimped bullets can cause problems from the bullets being pulled from the case under recoil. I'd keep an eye on that until I had run a full cylinder and didn't have a problem. Different cases especially between brands have different wall thickness. What is tight in one brand...

    Wet or dry tumble

Wet tumbling. Deprime before tumbling to get primer pockets clean. Get a universal decapping die. Your cases will take time to dry. No dust. No pieces of corncob or walnut clogging flash holes. Your cases will look better than new. Stainless steel pins last forever, virtually. Dry tumbling...

    Grand Power P11 9mm

I think this rotating barrel reducing recoil is a bunch of hooey. The barrel in my Stoeger 8040 rotates maybe 25 degrees. Barrel weighs 6 oz at best. Not enough force generated to do much plus it's radial not axial force. Any force generated is countered within mili-seconds as the slide comes...

    Glock barrels, why polygonal rifling?

Never thought of this but it makes great sense. You're just not going to swage that bullet into the very corners of the rifling. I can see this letting gas by. Thanks for sharing. All the Best, D. White

    10mm Inaccuracy. Help!

Check your bullet diameter. I bet they are undersize. They are not sealing in the bore. I've heard of this frequently with plated bullets. 10mm and 40S&W both have a 1 in 16 rifling twist. If that load would work in a .40 it should work as well in 10mm. I shoot 180's through my Stoeger Cougar...

    Cleaning Pistol Brass

Wet tumble with stainless steel pins. HF dual drum rock tumbler. I use RainX car wash with carnuba wax beads rather than Dawn. I think it makes the cases shinier and they seem to stay that way longer. All the Best, D. White

Inconsistent Unique throws Perfect Powder measure

Ran some .40 rounds over the weekend with a charge of 5.6 grains of Unique dropped through my Lee PPM. Had no more than an 0.2 grain variation on the rounds I checked. I felt this was pretty good for Unique. All the Best, D. White

EAA Witness/Tanfoglio 10mm, Good, Bad, Ugly?

The few Rock Island 10mm reviews I've read have been favorable. They seem to have pretty good products. I bet they build a stout 10mm. All the Best, D. White

Strange problem with Dan Wesson 9mm

I almost gave up on my Stoeger Cougar after having a similar problem. Finally figured out the thumb of my right hand was riding the slide when using a two hand grip. Did not take a lot of pressure to cause the malfunction either. Figured it out after shooting it one-handed. Grip is a...

Accuracy issues with XD sc .40

Have you sand-bagged it yet? Have you had someone else shoot it? I know from experience, shooting sub-compacts can be challenging, even for those used to shooting full and mid-sized guns. Snappier recoil, shorter grip length both add to difficulty in shooting smaller pistols. Give it a while...
