I now live in south west Florida and we have very little hunting in this area. Last year I had the opportunity to hunt the Redlands WMA in Georgia. It was BEAUTIFUL country, but the deer seemed a little scarce. I looked in the 07 reg book and the rifle season in the Redlands is much longer than...
Thanks Guys,
Do any of you have the NAA guardian 32 acp? Corbon would be great, Im just wondering if any ammo would be better than others to avoid feed issues in this particular gun. Have you found this to be an issue with your Guardian or does it eat whatever you feed it?
I just bought a NAA Guardian 32 acp and Im looking for a reliable self defense ammo that runs well in this gun. Never had a gun this small but Id assume that there will be some feed issues. Anyone already run the gamut on this one? Id appreciate any input.
I 2nd the XD40 subcompact. Good choice. I use the short clip for CCW and the extended clip otherwise.
I also 2nd going to a range to see what feels the best to you. You will be glad you did.
My father used a standard spring style hand grip exerciser. From the loop in the gripper, he had a 1' cord tied to a sack full of lead bb's, probably about 5 pounds. He would hold the gripper upside down (like a "V) out in front of him like he was holding his pistol. He kept it next to the couch...
I really like my XD40 SC. I use the short clip for IWB and the extended when not concealed. Safety features wont hinder you when you need to use it. Comfortable to shoot and dependable. Good choice IMO.
Thanks for the advice. I am really interested in Gun vault safe that was recommended by a few members. Ive surfed the web and cant find any reviews on them, good or bad. They seem like a good way to go. Has anyone had any bad experiences with them? Repeated refusals to open or opening for the...
Thanks for the info, Ill have to do some research on the proper technique before I make a decision. I still dont see a huge advantage with them but maybe if I see them in action on video it will change my mind.
Thanks M2, Ill start with the Crimson Trace DVD.
Good advice Titan, There...
Would you put a laser or flashlight on your home defense weapon?
Ive been surprised by how many people use 1 or the other @ home.
My thought would be that one of the advantages you would have over a perp is that you have home field advantage and more than likely you would know where he...
As we all know, having your gun unloaded, locked, or hidden too well does you no good at a time when you would actually need it.
In the same regard the weapon that was supposed to protect my family could potentially destroy it.
My children are still young, the oldest is 3 1/2. So...
Ghost,
I was referring to a holster in the waistband and agree with you whole heartedly about using good quality holster, belt, etc.
Thanks for the input.
Hi guys,
I am looking to purchase my first carry weapon. I have been shooting (for hunting purposes) all my life but never carried for protection. After researching, I am very impressed with the dependability of the glocks and I am trying to decide between the Glock 30 (45 cal), 33 (357...
Thanks for the help guys, I had no Idea I had such a gem. I am going to hang on to it through deer season and then send it to get modified after. Ill have to check out the holosight too.
Last time we were out I shot my friends 44 and mine. His was some off brand that I hadnt heard of. It shot rings around my blackhawk. Maybe its just too old.
Thanks guys. No scope or red dot. Id rather keep open sights for the time being. I dont want to go over $600. Have you come across any sites that have benched all the guns and can give you comparisons?
I currently own a 44 blackhawk. My father had the barrel shortened years ago because it was front heavy. The accuracy is not what it should be. Time to trade up. I am going to buy a new 44 before deer season this year. Id like to hear your opinion of your 44, good or bad, to help me decide on...
