FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

Good advice. At this point he just wants someone besides the pawn shop to get it. I told him to list it on gunbroker. No way can the dealer say thats a straw sale.

FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

He had no idea he could legally send the firearm to himself until I (and then the ATF) told him. He's trying to make nice with the ffl and work something out, but the last time I talked to him it didnt sound promising.

FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

Nope, I cant, but Im not in the business of complying with Federal law. The people who took my father in laws pistol, however, are. Last time I checked, theft is still illegal.

FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

The dealer told him specifically that he would not let his brother pick up the pistol because he wasnt on the paperwork. Also, Im not sure what shipping it back to AK would accomplish as he's not sure when he'll be back. He's contacted the County Sheriff and she is supposed to get back with him...

FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

His impression is that the dealer is trying to make it as difficult as possible for him so that he can keep the gun after 30 days. The dealer told him that he wouldn't let his brother take possession and that he had to have a license from the state to pick it up. This is further complicated by...

FFL is trying to steal my father in laws pistol

Here is the situation as I know it. My father in law recently retired from the Alaska Railroad. He is in the process of moving all of his possessions to his brothers home in Montana where they will sit until he finds a place to live. He is not moving to Montana, he's just using it as a...

Has anyone ever had their CCW exposed?

Lots of people have noticed mine. I carry open/concealed. My pistol is generally on a belt holster. If I have a coat on its concealed, but when the coat is off, obviously, it can be seen. No one really cares in Alaska.

Can someone recommend a set of rings?

robsc, you are the third person to recommend this trigger since I bought my (wifes, lol) Marlin. The trigger could certainly use some work. I was a bit hesitant to jump on the riflebasix bandwagon, as I've never owned one, but with so many singing their praises I guess its a fairly safe bet. Is...

Can someone recommend a set of rings?

Just picked up a Marlin .17 with a heavy barrel for the wife. Beautiful rifle, btw. The only rings they had which would fit were the chintsy bb gun type. I put a set on temporarily, but they loosen the more rounds you fire. The scope is a Bushnell Elite, model 3200. Just wondering what type of...

    Bullies at the shooting range...

I'd stop going to the range if I ran into that type with any regularity. With few exceptions the shooters I run into are polite, courteous and always willing to lend a hand (or spare ammo). Its one of the major reasons I go to the range.

    Moving to TN

Theres a few for sure. Flew in the Knoxville airport and headed tword the tri-cities area. We stopped at an Applebees and they didnt serve booze. Said it was a dry county. I dont think beer is really considered alcohol around here. They sell it everywhere. So if you are a beer fan, youre all set. :)

    Walmart . . . Again

My local Wallmarts gun counter is top notch. From the posts on here, I would think that they are the acception rather than the rule. :D They know me by first name and are pretty knowledgable. Sorry yours sucks. :neener:

One of these just bit a U.S. soldier in Iraq!

The weird thing about camel spiders is that they love shadows, and will follow you around just to stay in yours. I've squished a couple. :D
