    I will sand until I get that nice grain to show. and if i cant it is time to think about painting. so far I have been lucky. last time I did one with 4 coats of clear and a scuff,buff,and wax. and then 2 more coats of clear. what do you think?

    this junker has a bolt that is all chrome with a bent pineapple nob. the safety looks like some kind of alloy, but the rest looks like good old steel that was chromed. is this an after market bolt or did bubba have it chromed?

    Cold Blueing

    the idea of hot and then cold is to expand the metal and then shrink it with blue intact. like I said before I am no expert, but this worked well for me at a reasonable price. and everything I have done this way has taken the test of salty hands, rain, and rough handling with a good result.
