    What's that?

insulin pump, cell phone, pager, colostomy bag, a back brace, or hockey pads. as long as when asked you don't turn red, get embarassed, or stumble over your words, people will believe whatever you tell them. the more rediculous the better. if its something that may make the inquirer...

    sporterized M1 carbine?

i actually have a sporter stock that came on my m1 carbine....nice wood stock and matching handguard. the only real difference between it and the GI stock, is that it is a little slimmer, doesn't have the sling and oiler cutout, and has the raised cheek pad.

need help with .22 conversion ID. photos inside

so i am hoping that you can all help. i picked up this .22lr. conversion kit for my AR-15 today....the tag said that it is a ciener which was false. (i own a ciener, and unless they just changed the design, it definately isn't!) there are absolutely NO markings on the kit whatsoever, no...

    Gander Mtn

gander will price match. you may even be able to print out some online "proof" of the gun being cheaper somewhere else. atleast they were decent enough to take back the defective pistol. i suppose store credit is alot better than the alternative...bunk firearm!!

has anyone ordered from CMP lately??

looking at buying a garand from the CMP, but it doesn't seem as though they update their website often. do they have any garands right now?? i'm looking for just a plain old shooter...nothing too fancy. what experience has anyone had with their different "grades"?? rack, field, service...

    Securing firearms w/out a safe?

a couple of eye-bolts into studs of a closet with aircraft cable running through the trigger guards and secured with some decent padlocks would help slow down theives....store the bolts for the guns elsewhere....hide them in your nastiest old shoes. maybe invest in a cheap dresser from the...

    Hornaday TAP buckshot....booo

i bought a box of the hornady TAP 12 ga. buck as well....this was from gander mountain or somewhere comparable. mine were in about the same shape as yours. not only were the crimps horrible, but the crimp end of the shells are so horribly misshapen, that 3 of the 5 would not chamber. i won't...

    Readhead gun safe question

chances are the fire rating is for 1350 degrees....might be a typo. sounds like a good price for what it is. use the search function....lots of good info from a1abdj, and cb900f both are safe techs and have given a huge wealth of information to this site. i'd probably pick it up if someone...

    The case for an AR.

check out your local pawn shop for old hard-side guitar cases...not only do they come in guitar shapes, but also big rectangular ones.... something with Fender or Gibson on it would definately scream musician, not gun case. maybe even a garage sale golf bag with a few clubs in it?? separate...

    Aimpoint Clones

i've got one that i purchased a couple years ago from some place in canada. it seems to hold zero well (shooting .223), when i got mine, the most dim setting did not work, still doesnt. it takes the small watch type batteries, which sucks....but i haven't had to change the batteries as of...

    B i g !

williams in davison is large, but the last time i was in there, they were really low on just about everything. prices aren't bad. guns galore in fenton seems to have just about everything in stock....keep in mind, if they don't have what you are looking for on the floor, they may have it in...

    rcbs uniflow question

just picked up a uniflow powder dispenser at an estate sale...cheap enough so why not. heres my question. how do you set it up to throw a charge. it seems when the adjustment screw is all the way in (throwing a minimum charge), the numbers on the screw read 10 however, when all the way out...

    Newbie's First 9mm Loads

i just finished up loading some 125gr. lead bullets using 4.5 grains of unique. seem to burn clean enough, and seem to shoot about like winchester white box. they had a very similar recoil, and seemed a little more accurate than the wwb. no idea on fps, because i don't have a chrono...

    45acp load data question.....

thanks fellas... i've got a scale, so measuring how much the autodisk or powder measure is throwing isn't an issue. i guess what i need to do is perhaps pick up some more loading reference. still new to the reloading game, so i just wanted to cross reference before i wasted alot of...
