I am cross eye dominant and an expert marksman and marksmanship instructor. I shoot pistols left eyed and right handed. I shoot all long guns right eyed and right handed. This has NEVER been an issue for me.

We were issued "combat" earplugs, but it's up to each soldier to remember to put em in. I often thought about what I'd do if I was deployed and ultimately decided that I'd always keep my right plug in and the left one out(but close) if on a mission.

Sure the police are reliable. The problem is that they're not right there. Best police response time in the USA is 3 min I believe. You will be all sorts of dead and raped in 3 min, not to mention 15-20 min some places. Or imagine if your phone is dead or broken.
