Sell me on plated .45 ACP bullets

In a .45 acp, I don't think you'll have to worry about plating seperation. You won't never know the difference.

Have you ever had a revolver malfunction?

Only one. I inherited my Dad's S&W Mod 37 when he passed. Double action was bad due to 30 pounds of pocket fuzz Dad never cleaned out, from carrying it in his back pocket. Cleaned and it was fine. I will say those 1976 bullets worked fine.

    Practicing Double Action

DA is a great thing to practice, seeing that self defense will probably a pull and shoot situation. I know alot of folks who take and have their revolvers Bobbed and lightend so it is pretty much DA only.

    Moly grease in slide rails?

I clean the slide and rails with gun scrubber or equiv. Then apply this stuff with a q-tip sparingly. **KEY** - let dry 2 hours and re-assemble. It leaves a dry teflon film that creates a very slick surface. Make sure to shake it well, as it uses Naptha as a carrier, then the naptha completely...

    Model "1" Sales .22 AR-15

I had a Rock River lower setting around a long time. I found a Model 1 catalog and decided to do the build. All the parts, internal, upper and all came from there. The rifle shoots like a dream. Their parts are quality and I will not hesitate to order anything from them.

    Back Sugery and shooting again

Gaucho, Mine is very lower spine, I think what you got going on is up top. Probably a whole lot more serious seeing that the neck is included in your description. Doc said today, I'll be off the range for at least 4 months. It is the bending over the bench deal that he is getting at, he said...

    Back Sugery and shooting again

Grandpa, Mr Happy works ok, I have a sensation of being "kicked" in lefty. First appt with surgeon tomorrow a.m. - I'm a tad nervous, never had major anything before. Lone, all I can pretty much do is lay also. Standing to whiz is a job. Good luck on yours also.

    Back Sugery and shooting again

Kentucky, thanks for mentioning Mr Happy. I didn't know that could come from the back problem. I just thought that was something else going wrong, I'll let my Doc know. It's a symptom I am getting also.

I am getting ready to get Disc surgery in my lower back. Has anyone out there had this done and I guess what my question is - how long was it before you could shoot again?

    Pump Action advice

I like the teflon too. I use it on the internal action parts, but still use oil to wipe down externally. I like due to I don't get gunky stuff like I did with oil inside the receiver. Just use it sparingly, a tad goes a mile. Make sure you shake it good. It is like lighter fluid (naptha) with...
