    Kahr CW9 or P9

I would go for the P9. I wouldn't worry about buying a used gun and I think it is a better value at that price.

If you carry IWB, what holster do you use?

Another vote for the UBG Canute.

    Best Holster Material for 1911?

I generally prefer leather and I don't worry much about holster wear. I figure it gives the gun character. Of the 5 holsters I have, I would rank them in this order: 1. UBG canute 2. Kramer #3 3. Kirkpatrick 4. Comp Tac 5. High Noon BTW, Fight Club is one of my favorite movies!

    M&P 9 Owners!

Just thought I would chime in. I bought a M&P 9 for my girlfriend and we both love it. As others have mentioned, the ergos is where this gun shines. I just completed the DIY trigger job. It was easy and it made a big difference. I am now getting a crisp 4.5 lb break with almost no over...

Need Help; Gun money burning hole in pocket!

I would go with the EMP. I debated buying one, but ended up with a P9. As much as I like the P9, I still want an EMP.

    any kahr carriers out there

I have a P9 that has been 100%. I think it is the perfect size for a carry gun.

    M&P9c or CW9 first CC?

I think the CW9 will be much better for carry. I love the full size M&P's, but I do not like the grip on the compacts. My pinky hangs off the bottom unless I use the extended magazine. The CW9 will be easier to conceal and it will allow for a full grip (unless you have very large hands). I...

    new to the 1911 questions???

Who makes a 1911 like that? It sounds ideal, except for the lower capacity.

What double stack .45 should i get?

I would go with the XD or the M&P. FYI, 14 round mags are coming out soon for the M&P.

    Kahr surprise

I have heard that Kahr has pretty good customer service. Fortunately I have not had to use it. I bought a P9 about a month ago and it has been 100%.

    Does anyone make this 1911?

The Dan Wesson 1911's have very small logos that are not very noticeable.

HELP! Time to get another pistol and i'd like your advise...

You could probably find a used Browning Hi Power in .40 for around $600. How about a CZ 97B in .45 or a CZ 75B SA in .40?

    Tax Return Purchase

The only 1911 I have a lot of experience with is my Taurus, and it has been a great gun. They just released a stainless model. If I were going to buy another, in the price range you specified, I would look at: Springfield, Kimber, Dan Wesson, Colt, and Smith&Wesson. I have had my eye on this...

Want to hear Good and/or Bad on XD9 SubCompact

I bought a XD9 SC for my girlfriend and we ended up selling it. Functionally it was a great pistol. The main reason we sold it was that my girlfriend had trouble racking the slide and recoil was a bit snappy for her. We replaced it with a full size M&P. The XD9 was ok, but I much prefer the...

    S&W M&P Experience

I am very happy with my M&P 9. No problems at all. I am thinking about getting a M&P 45.

Fitting a new single sided safety is pretty easy to do yourself with a small file. Instructions are here.

    Changing mossberg 500 mag tube

Yes, that is all you will need to replace the mag tube. I had a heck of a time removing mine. I am sure having the proper tools would help. I had to put the receiver in a bench vise, use penetrating oil, and apply heat. In order to get a grip on the mag tube, I wrapped the tube in a strip of...

Gun for the Girlfriend to use

I recently had to make the same decision. I bought my GF a XD9 sub compact. That was a bad move. The recoil spring on small guns is a lot stiffer and she had trouble racking the slide. I sold the XD9 and bought her a full size M&P 9. She is able to operate this much better. If I had it to...

    Glock 19, Springfield XD9 or SmithWesson M&P9

I have shot all three. You can't go wrong with any of them. I prefer the M&P. To me, it has the best ergonomics, and I can shoot it faster (accurately) than any other gun I own. I think the Glock is a little more compact, which may make it better for a CCW.
