Thanks guys. The problem occurred with three different types of ammo. It looks like I will be calling Marlin. I hate it when a new gun doesn't work right:banghead:.
I noticed that when my 336 fails to eject that the bolt loses its' grip on the brass and the brass falls down on top of the next round before reaching the ejector. It does this fairly frequently, and this is a new gun. What is causing this and what should I do?
Thanks,
Shane
I took the my 30-30 out today to run some drills. The rifle shot fine, but did not always eject the shells. It is a fairly new gun, what could be the problem.
Thanks,
Shane
I have a 3" M60 357. I like the DPX 38 in it. I don't know how much velocity I lose in it compared to firing out of a 38 chambered M60. This load does close to 1100 fps in my M638. I was hoping to get another 50-100fps out of the extra barrel length. I love the J's in all shapes and sizes. I...
Just bought me a 336 SS 20" last night. I really like the way this rifle points even better than AK/AR's. I think that I'll be spending a lot of time getting to know my 336:).
I was talking to a guy the other day at the range who had always been anti-gun. He lives in a very nice part of town. He told me that he and his wife were at home when a group of men tried to kick in his door. He bluffed and shouted out that he had a gun, luckily they believed them and ran away...
Thanks everyone for the replies. I plan on taking Debethencourt's snub class next spring. I usually carry a pair of 638's loaded with DPX and one speedloader and one speed strip. I would love to compete in some matches with my J but cannot find any in my area yet. I have carried every type of...
I have a 1894c that I bought for a home self defense weapon. I love to shoot it , when it isn't jamming up on me:mad:. The lever will lock up in the forward position and has to be broken down to unjam. Would I be better off with a 336, or would that be to much for home defense?
For those of us who rely on a J frame for our self defense handgun, what are some things that we can do to maximize its' effectiveness? I realize that the J is not the gun we would want to have in a fight, but for me it is likely to be the one I have If I ever am in a gun battle.
Thanks
